First mower I ever bought that I didn't have to put together, just pour out of the box add oil/gas and pull the rope. Where I live now is dusty and had to take out the air filter, clean it to get that solid purr of the engine again. Would have expected that with any mower. Great mower, would buy it again.
Bought this mower in January of 2008. This mower has started without hesitation every time I've used it. Does an excellent job. This is coupled with a riding mower which I've purchased at the same time. This push mower has been more reliable than the rider. My previous mower had a 20" deck. Having the 2 extra inches makes a bigger difference than one would expect!
Have used this lawn mower for over a month now, and it has performed flawlessly. Like the Weed Eater trimmers and leaf blowers I own, this weed eater lawn mower also starts easily, and the engine runs smoothly, and is powerful enough. It is relatively light weight, which is suitable to me, and it cuts well, which is what really matters. A good performer at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.
Hi yall, I'm sitting here bored to death, writing this review but not tring to tell you how wonderful Wal-mart is. This mower I bought because of it's economical price and I didn't need anything bigger because I had a small yard at my duplex. I was suprised after I plopped my tool box beside it to put it together all I needed was a box cutter. I leave it outside and don't change the oil and plug or any of that garbage and it STILL runs after 3 years. I have even ran it with chainsaw gas because I was too lazy to go and get regular gas and it still runs, whats a little more lub at the top-end going to hurt. I have since moved from the duplex and use it for the fenced portion of the yard where the kids play so I can kick all the toys out of my way. It's pretty light weight and good on gas. Of course it is the smallest mower with the smallest engine so you should expect that. I can go outside right now push the primer button a few times and it start first pull. Overall..For a cheap piece of junk, it does the job and I am very satified with it. Actually I am very suprised it still runs with the way I treat it.
purchased this machine because of its' features, engine size, cutting width, and brand reputation. i have a 2 acre lawn that requires some pushmowing, and this mower has met all of my expectations, and more. it it lightweight, easy to start, and easy to push. it is comfortable to use, and quieter than any mower i have ever used.
Aside from the front right tire missing an important curved washer, I was very happy with my purchase of the this lawn mover. I called the Customer Service Dept/Warranty Co. and informed them of the missing washer, giving them the number of the piece from the manual. I had the washer the very NEXT DAY. That is what i call cusotner service!! This is a durable lawn mower and reasonalby priced in my opinion.
Purchased this mower a month ago and have have had difficulty starting it. Family member 2 doors away has gone through 2 within 6 weeks. Took the 2nd one back because it had to be primed about 25 times before it would start. Next door neighbor just spent $60 putting in a new carburator on hers which is only a few months old. Maybe our section of Florida got a bad lot. But ours goes back today.
I bought this mower at the beginning of the summer. First one worked once then two weeks later dead. Exchanged for an other one same thing once again had to drain all the oil out and get all the gas out and back to Walmart. That was my 3rd mower guess what stupid me should have just got my money back the 4th one went out today only used it twice lost my receipt but the Walmart where I shop said they would give me a gift card and guess what no mowers to buy with it lol. Weedeater is a big hunk of junk nothing more.
I bought this lawn mower last Fall at the end of the season, didn't have much occasion to use it then. But this Spring I changed the oil and began using it. Well that little Briggs Engine runs terrible. Great before it's warmed up but after it's warmed up it sputters, spits, back fires etc etc. No adjustment on the carburetor so it cannot be adjusted. I don't know what I'm going to do with this thing. Cuts OK, but runs terrible. Not typical of a small Briggs at all? I'm not too happy! I've tried changing and re gaping the plug, not much else can be done? Wish I could hear what Briggs & Stratton has to say about this?
We bought this mower in the Summer of 2008 to replace a mower that went bad. At first it seemed great, but then it got harder and harder to start until it finally wouldn't start anymore. Put a new spark plug in it, cleaned the carburetor, and the air filter...got it to run, but it ran rough like it wanted to cut off, and it was blowing black smoke out of the exhaust pipe. We made due with it until it stopped starting again and we are now looking at buying another mower...the next one will not be a Weed Eater!!! Don't buy this thing unless you like working on your mower longer than you get to actually use your mower!
