I have never had an electric lawn mower and I honestly thought that it would struggle to cut the tall grass in my lawn, but to my surprise it did and incredible job of slicing through the tall grass and it exceeded my expectations.
my grass had gotten pretty tall by the time i purchased this mower. this mower cut it right down. it is easy to use and the rear bag is easy to empty, and not having to mess with gas and oil is a plus.
I found it a good value for an electric lawn mower. I have not yet had the opportunity to use it much yet, [I've only had it about a week] but the several modes [mulch, bag, side discharge] are all easy to set up and the single control height adjuster easy to use. It was easy to assemble. The "ship to store" made total purchase cost much less than the alternatives I found.
one lever height adjustment and large rear wheels for easy turning were the features that first caught my eye when I was shopping for a electric mower. After using it I was glad I chose the Weed Eater. The quality and design are far superior to any of the other brands that I looked at.
I know, I know. Shouldn't have let the lawn get so out of control. Life gets in the way of these things sometimes. I wanted an electric mower so I wouldn't have to worry about filling gas cans and mixing oil and all that. Got this a few weeks ago, and it's great-- We were plugged in (100-foot outdoor extension cord) and mowing the grass in ten minutes out of the box. I like the bagger attachment, although the grass just dumps out when I try to remove it. Maybe I'm missing something. It's also a little bit of juggling to not run over the cord and electrocute myself, but that's not a huge deal. The Weed-Eater just demolished the foot-high grass (I know, I know). It took two passes -- first on the "high" grass setting, second on "low", which I expected. I hit a couple of sticks and a big rock hidden in the grass, and the mower dealt with them just fine. My boyfriend laughed at the electric mower at first, but when he saw it in action, he was really impressed at how powerful it is. The best part is, the yard looks great, and our house doesn't look abandoned anymore. It's so easy to use-- just plug it in and go-- it'll be easy to stay on top of keeping the lawn looking good. I've already mowed again since getting it, and I'm really happy with how well it works. Ordering online and having it delivered to my house was really convenient. A big box like this would never fit in our car, and we'd have to find someone with a truck and make arrangements for them to help us pick it up... much less aggravation to just have it delivered. We may have to order that big grill we've been eying.
