I price is right for the job it does. Engraved a cup in a few minutes.
My son's tools were stolen from our garage. So we replaced the tools and engraved every new piece. Love this product. Easy to use.
This Engraver is perfect for security purposes! Easy to use, sharp engraving point with a fine point. I've used it on several metals, hard plastic and soft plastic and it's great. Soft plastic requires a higher depth setting, but that's just a turn of the dial. I've marked all of our replacement tools, and am now marking everything else I come across. I had tried using my Dremel Tool for engraving (not the Dremel Engraver) and this is much easier with greater control.
This is a great tool. It works FAR better than the the cheap knock offs.
The point is sharp. The variable engraving intensity is so you can engrave softer and harder materials. This tool gets with the program. Just what I wanted.
We bought this to engrave some knives and things for school. It is simple and easy to use. I recommend engraving like a letter and a code instead of your full name, just to make it faster and less stressful on the little motor. On that note, it comes with a plastic stencil card for letters and a plastic card for symbols. The only negative is that the stencil card might not hold up over time since the tip of the engraver slowly whittles it away. But you could just as easy freehand engrave with this or find some other work-around if that happens. A great value overall.

Good strength enough to engrave metal . Very pleased with this product.
never owned one before but works well enough to scratch the surface of stainless steel . Scratched my initials and is fine. shakes a little and holding it steady takes concentration. Holding it like a pen works good enough. some of the more expensive engravers may be easier to control or maybe not. Im satisfied with this for now.
I purchased it to engrave designs on glass. The details about it say it engraves glass. It is useless for engraving designs. It makes a lot of noise, is really too heavy for artistic engraving on glass. If you just wanted to do initials and not too fussy about looks, for identifying an object it likely would do the job.
