This bed looks amazing when completed and is made with solid materials. It was slightly overwhelming when I took it out of the box, but the instructions were very clear. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality bed, especially for the price.
I like value and this platform bed far exceeded what I thought I would get for $129 (on sale in August). First of all it looks great - it's not real wood, it's veneer in a dark honey color with a lighter honey color for grain affect. It's sits off the floor, giving all that space underneath for storage. The wood slats 'creak and squeak' a bit but other than that it's sturdy, well-designed. Directions were good and all parts accounted for, including wood glue. You will need a Philips screwdriver, preferrably a drill to attach center support to the headboard and footboard - just two screws but the hardware makes it difficult to angle the screwdriver while applying pressure. Definitely want a set of extra hands if you can find the help - I didn't have anyone and wound up using suitcases to hold up those side rails while I attached the footboard, so it's possible for one person to manage. It took me a few hours to get it all together. I'm glad I took a chance and bought this on sale but it's worth $179 full price. I looked at alot of beds and couldn't find anything I thought was perfect so I went in the other direction thinking this would have to do until I find the perfect setup - this bed is simple and sleek and I'm going to keep it.
Good quality material. I got this product on sale for$129. It arrived promptly in excellent condition. Packaging was great. It took an hour to assemble. You'll pretty much have to figure it out from the illustrative diagrams in the manual, because the manual is quite short on explanations; which I don't mind. Overall, it's a great buy. I'll definitely recommend this product.
This bed is just great! I needed a platform bed for my son for college and he did not like most of the other ones out there because they sit on the floor. This one is about a foot off the floor so it is almost normal bed height when his mattress is on top. The extra storage room underneath that this bed provides is also very useful. The bed looks absolutely wonderful, people cannot believe I only paid $129.00 for it! It is made out of particle board for the most part, but doesn't look like it. The bed is very sturdy, he has been sleeping in it for a few weeks and has not had any problems. It was very easy to assemble, it took a little less than 2 hours. This bed was much easier to assemble than many other pieces of furniture I have bought. I found the tips for assembling provided by other reviewers to be very helpful and would suggest that people read these before attempting to build the bed. I also was glad to see that the bed was environmentally friendly, it made me feel better about my purchase. My only complaint about the bed had nothing to do with the bed itself. The bed is not available in any store anywhere near the Chicago Area where we live or in the four midwest states I travelled to this summer. I had to order it from the website and it is the only item in the collection that does not have site to store shipping available, so I had to pay $32.00 to ship it. That is really my only complaint. Overall this was a great bed!
This is great for the price! Overall appearance 1-10 = 10 Great for apartments, and basement apartments. I did'nt expect it to look so nice. The directions stated 2 hours to assemble, and yes that quote is accurate. Very easy to put together. 2 people ( at the finish line) and electric screwdriver needed.
I have had this bed for about a month now. I got it from the store itself. The bed is solid all the way through. It has a little height to it not that much. Have a very comfortable mattress with this bed. I painted mine because it did not match the rest of my bedroom and it was on clearance. But I do love this bed.
Bed was easy to setup and assemble with mostly one person doing the work. I had my wife come in a few minutes here and there but that was it. Make sure that you move the bed where you want it first before adding the slats as they will move all over the place when trying to move the bed afterwards. I bought this for the guest bedroom and I have to agree with the guest that have stayed at my house that this was a good choice. I have another platform bed in my bedroom that cost about $600 from another store and I believe that they both will hold up about the same. The only reason that I did not give this all 5 stars is the fact that the side boards are a little high and without a large pillow top mattress, these can hurt your calves when getting out of bed. Shipping came a day earlier than expected, everything was in great condition.
I absolutely loved the bed looks really nice-and at a really great price!! A little difficult to put it together- seems really sturdy - I have owned it for about a month and so far so good- I would definitely recommend!!
My husband bought this bed thinking that it would be half way decent. This bed has turned out to be a nightmare. The screws keep coming loose and the wood looks cheap. The whole entire bed feels cheaply made. The bed finally broke beyond repair and now we are getting ready to buy a new bed. Take my advice spend the extra money and get a good bed.
-- I advise anyone thinking of purchasing this product not to. This thing, although "earth friendly, is made of pressed wood and particle board. The only "quality" thing about this product is that the slats, center support rail and center support legs are actual lumber. - -- I had one of the cams break and two others bend while putting the headboard together. Even after getting it together the joinery was weak, causing the entire assembly to fall apart while putting the headboard top rail on. The falling apart caused a split in the head board bottom rail, I don't know if it's possible to repair. - -- I wasted $194.00 after tax for this. Now that it's broke, I'd be better off measuring this garbage's pieces, buying some 2x4's and build a bed myself... at least then I'd know it wouldn't dump me on the floor in the middle of the night. - -- How often do you use this product? Ummmm if it had quality parts and been able to be assembled properly, I wouldn't have to answer "Never". I didn't get the chance to use it and I'm not sleeping on something this weak. -
