I am a sewing professional and I sew clothing used by our fighting men and women! Some of this clothing is fireproof and bullet proof which means it may contain Kevlar fibers which makes the fabric tough to cut! Some of these fabrics will dull regular scissors very quickly? These titanium bonded scissors however, do not get dull as quickly and keep cutting even after regular stainless steel scissors have gone dull! They are also very comfortable to cut with all day long! Great products! I have several different sizes of Westcott bonded titanium scissors and they are wonderful! Thanks Westcott!
Scissors are one of those things you don't think about until you need them to work right. My old scissors were dull and annoying, and I didn't even realize it until I got these. The handles are ergonomic, the blades sharp. I was cutting some fabric and these scissors went right through. I just love them!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This 8" straight scissor works well with heavier materials like corrugated cardboard, shirt cardboard, laminated index card stock and plastic canvas. Didn't have any foam board around to try it on but will see how it cuts when I get some. Luv the comfortable grip and the ease it cuts thru the materials named. My hands didn't cramp up for the longer sessions of use. Also, liked the recycled use of the blister wrap to be a safety sleeve holder for the scissors with blades slightly expanded when storing in crafts drawer. When blades are closed, easy removal from the package; when ajar,scissors hold nicely in the package( see photos). Kudos to the package designers who probably were anticipating the packaging be in the trash heap. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
The blades are strong! I mean really strong! The package claims they are 8X harder than stainless steel and I'm definitely convinced of that. I decided to to put them to a comparison test. I cut through 20 sheets of paper using these scissors and my very best pair of scissors. When I used the Westcott CarboTitanium Scissors I had absolutely no problem cutting through all 20 sheets. Using my other scissors (my best ones) I struggled quite a bit to cut through these 20 sheets. It was hard to get a picture that showed it...but hopefully you can see what I'm talking about. They are so comfortable on my fingers while cutting. They have a contoured soft grip handles which also allowed me to get a good grip while cutting. Nice! These scissors are very sturdy and provide good balance while handling and I'm impressed with the carbo titanium blades. Very glade I chose this scissors I'm sure they'll provide me with years of use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Very sturdy scissors. I use them I work when I need to cut dental wire or mesh. Worth the price.
best scissors ever - had to order a second pair just because i love them so much.
Having arthritis in hands, I use only scissors in cooking and these cut everything! Meat cuts especially well. I use two pair per year and wish you sold sharpener to go with these.
Like most of the ratings, these scissors are very sharp. I needed sharp scissors for cutting fabric and for my crafting. I havent had them long enough to know if they will stay as sharp as the claims. There is a one year warranty on them from the manufacturer which Ive never seen before on a pair of scissors.
It was a receipt book in the plug instead of the above item. Not happy. Not expensive enough for me to go through the hassle of sending it back.
