As a teacher, I use a lot of paper cutters. I really really like this one! It is a great size. Big enough to fit full size sheet of paper but not so big to make it bulky and hard to store. It is VERY light weight, making it easy to move in and out of storage (away from students) but is not at all flimsy. Very well made, sharp, and feels durable. It has a raised safety guard, which I like. It is raised higher than most I have seen. Nice for extra safety of fingers. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This trimmer is great for home use. It is lightweight with a locking tab when you wish to move it around. The numbers are large to read and it cuts sharply. I do not think it would stand up to a heavy use setting if it was available to multiple people. Many people do not take care with the equipment like I do. I am so impressed with the quality of this trimmer. Very light weight but so durable. Does not move around on counter while cutting. Can handle 10 sheets of cardstock with no problem. Extremely sharp! Locking mechanism holds blade securely. Ruler markings are easy to read and helps with cutting accurately. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
When you need to create smaller pages or separate multiple images from a single page but need to maintain specific sizes or straight edges this is the tool you need. For home or small office use, this will allow you to print and separate multiple messages or images from a single page or clean up trimmed pages. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This Westcott Titanium bonded Trimmer was sent to me in exchange for an honest review. This trimmer works great. I tried it on different types of paper. It cuts those thin paper coupons with ease. It will even cut card stock without any trouble. Regular paper a piece of cake. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I love the aesthetics of this cutter - if that is even a thing! It have a nice rubberized handle grip and it feels heavy duty. It cuts through paper with sharpness...I hate it when cutters make the paper slip and cause a crinkle if they are not sharp enough. Not this one! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I bought this paper cutter about 6 months my son had worked in an office that closed and he gave me 3 cases of legal size paper. I bought the cutter to cut the paper into letter size for my printer. The directions say it cuts up to 10 pages so I divided a whole team into sections of 10 and attempted to cut them down..,some batches cut perfectly however like every third batch the top paper moves and it it folds at the same spot every time. I even got a ruler and put pressure to assure the paper didn't move. It doesn't make a difference...the blade is perfectly sharp and I am aligning every batch the same....anyone else ever have this issue? Other than that I like the product.”
Really put the trimmer through the test on different size 20 lb papers including legal and ledger size for trimming and cutting at all different angles of the papers. Had to remove the fingerguard on the top of the trimmer in order to move the longer and wider sheets of paper closer to the cutting edge for accurate trimming. Some pages had 14"& 17" lengths of paper imprinted with color ink which made the paper slightly heavier and resistant to the blade cutting smoothly without tearing the edge vs a sharp cut border. Must have cut close to a full ream of paper testing the angles of the cuts on the gridded surface of trimmer. It was awkward to trim the longer papers in one pass and several passes had to be made to get the excess trimmed accurately. Perhaps it may be helpful to have some diagonal lines through the gridded boxes to help with the alignment of the strips to be cut.because the paper wasn't clear or transparent. - Trimmer easily cut through 12 sheets of 20 lb paper. - A lightweight tool which made it easy to cart from desktop to tabletop in a fabric tote bag unlike the paper cutter from once upon a time which has heavy wood.. . - Loved the safety guard lock to keep blade closed in transport away from little curious hands. . . - Was tempted to cut cardstock but didn't want to overstress the limits of the blade, especially when it was nearing the end of the ream of assorted papers. - Either the blade or I was getting tired and seemed to bend with some of the later cuts. Took a break and returned to complete the cutting task at hand. - Would recommend allowing time to space out the task into multiple parts, time permitting instead of doing the volume of the job. - Would also like to have some tips to safeguard the sharpness of the cutting blade and troubleshooting to help with the multiple cuts on a single edge when paper exceeds the size of the 12" surface. Look forward to more cutting projects with this tool. . . . [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I purchased this guillotine style trimmer/cutter after my Westcott brand slide style trimmer stopped cutting smoothly. After a few months of minimal use, it would mangle the edges of the paper regardless of where I positioned it under the blade. This started after the return/refund window, so I YouTubed how to sharpen/align the blade/arm. I'll emphasis that it was a difficult futile task.
Terrible paper cutter. Only cuts a few inches, then folds the rest. And the cut portion looks rough, not a sharp clean cut. Tried with printer paper and cardstock. Returning immediately.
