These are not cheap, but they provide more light than most. The battery capacity is much higher than typical solar lights. They are of high quality construction, and should endure the weather for many years. They are a good alternative to strings of low-voltage electric lights.
I bought 2 sets originally to light my walkway, one of them never worked...found out when I took it in the house during the day that it was on all day and not at night, took that one back with no problem and no problems since! I love these lights, they are so bright. I just bought 4 more sets and have them lighting my driveway and house all around. I have read the reviews about the blinking and have had that happen to me as well but it only happens if its a rainy day or really cloudy all day. Put these in a well sunlit area and you will have no problems unless its a cloudy day.
I'm not sure why this product doesn't have a higher review. After paying 50$ for the highest quality solar lights I coudl find last year, I found these at WAl-mart this summer. I installed one area with them and they are so bright I could not believe it. I got up at 5 a.m. this morning becuase of a thunderstorm and they were still shining brightly. There is no where else I could find 6LED lights per fixture with a high capacity battery. Most lights have only 1 or at the most 2 LED .These are awesome!
We bought 3 sets of these to go along the side of our walkway, out to the gate. They replaced electric lights which were over 5 years old and kept having various problems. We had hoped, because these have 6 leds per light, that they would be bright enough. They are even brighter than the electric lights we had!! They came on the first night, and we didn't put them in until the afternoon. They stay on all night! They look great! AND, no wires to hide, and no extra on our electric bill! Love these!!!
I've bought a bunch of these, plus some of the same style Westinghouse spotlights (to light up trees, walls, etc.). I have a large walled in area around my house. I spent a lot of time and money trying to light up my grounds with Malibu lights but they never put out enough light to my liking. I stayed away from solar because in the past they didn't work well. These Westinghouse lights are the best solar lights ever. There are three types: Bright, Brighter and brightest. These are "brightest" and put out a huge amount of bright light, plus they stay bright all night as long as they get most of a day's worth of sunlight. The initial investment cost some money with these as they're not cheap, but I'm saving probably 300-400 watts of continuous electricity every night for 8-9 hours that I'm not using any more, plus I'm getting much better lighting than I did with the low voltage type Malibu lights. Plus you don't have to spend hours stringing the wiring for Malibu lights. The solar lights can be easily placed wherever you want them. I am very happy with these lights and would recommend them to anyone out there as an excellent purchase.
I have had these lights for about a month and so far they have performed very well. They are brighter than most solar lights I have seen and are definitely the best looking. The lights last through the night as long as they are fully charged. I have one light (I purchased 6) that is in the shade most of the morning and the battery in that light only lasts until about 4am, but that's expected. I have read a few comments that the lights start flickering but I have not noticed any problems. Again, I think the lights are great and perform well for a solar light.
I am very satisfied on the amount of light given off by these lights. They will light up a side walk. I am considering replacing my old 12 volt system with these lights.
I previously bought almost the same light by Westinghouse, but it was brighter. I think the box for this one says "10x brighter" and the one I bought before was "20x brighter". Of course the brighter the better. Still, this is a pretty good light. It's pretty bright. It has a glass cover, not plastic. Online price is good and cheaper than in store price. If I didn't know there was a brighter one I would have given this one 5 stars. (The model number I have wasn't available, but they do carry a bright spotlight.)
I picked up 2 boxes (6 lights) of these about a month ago and really like them. They are much brighter than the all plastic higher cost lights purchased some years back. As far as the complaints of the blinking low batteries, I haven't seen that. they seem to be just as bright when I leave for work at 5:30 am as they are at 10 pm the previous night. The only issue I have is they are $30.00 in the store and shown as $24.00 online, but out of stock online.
I bought three boxes of these lights and they are are much brighter than most solar lights. They even light up the side of my house. I did have one break off at the top when I was putting it in the ground. Walmart was great about returning it but I had to return all three lights in the box and they were out of stock in store and online so I've had to wait over a week now to replace them. I guess they are just popular though so overall I am very happy with this product.
