Easily make fresh-cut, restaurant-quality French fries and sweet potato fries at home in seconds with the Weston® French Fry Cutter & Vegetable Dicer. Just place the potato in the press and push the handle down for perfectly uniform fries every time. The cutter easily cuts and dices vegetables and fruits whether you want carrot sticks for snacks or evenly diced vegetable pieces for your favorite recipes. It's great for cutting and dicing fruits like pineapples and mangos for fruit trays. It includes ultra-sharp 3/8" and 1/2" stainless steel blades and food pushers for smaller or larger pieces of food. The 3/8" size is popular for French fries. Unlike many cutters that require strong pressure to cut hard vegetables like carrots, our unique ratcheting design makes it easy. Simply push down on the ratchet handle to push food through the blades at 3/8" or 1/2" intervals. The removable knife guide easily snaps into place in seconds and eliminates guesswork. It's great for times when you want more control and need perfectly even cuts and dices. The French fry cutter has rubber-covered feet to help prevent slipping and protect countertops. It's easy to assemble in minutes and is top-rack dishwasher safe.

I have an airfryer (also purchased from Walmart) that does amazing fries but I have a hard time cutting potatoes an even size by hand, especially with potatoes that aren't all close in size and shape. Looked everywhere for a reasonably price French fry cutter, but the low-priced lever types didn't seem durable and I couldn't justify the price of the all-metal, restaurant quality manual cutters (nor did I have the room to store one of these). I just happened across this on Walmarts site by chance and bought one. This is an excellent device, seemingly durable and does its job well at a very reasonable price. There's a bit of trial and error to get used to the lever action but is able to cut any potato that I've put into it. It's even cut a number of small sweet potatoes. One point of note is that when nearing the end of a potato, the lever action doesn't seem to have enough leverage so I need pull the remaining piece through the cutter by hand. Easy to do though and no chance of injury through the blade
I love the ease of cutting up vegetables . I use it to "french fry" summer squash and zuchinni to roast in my air fryer along with potatoes. It is extremely easy to use and requires little strength. Also very easy to clean. Would recommend as a kitchen necessity.
Great for those with arthritis
I had one of these French fry cutters for about two years when I broke it trying to cut sweet potatoes, (lesson learned, partially cook sweet potatoes first). I was so disappointed that I immediately ordered another as it works so well. Would recommend this cutter.
I bought this item because I made the mistake of buying another Starfrit fry cutter after my first one broke. But my second Starfrit was worse than the previous. I love the fact that this is also a food dicer, so now when I make my potato salad (I cube raw potatoes then steam them) I can use the larger size. I have tried to find a potato that would not fit into this device, but I couldn't, all the large potatoes fit!
I bought my husband this cutter and he loves it. There is no need to cut potatoes smaller to fit which is a bonus. We had the smaller Start fit cutter which was ok but for us this one is better....you could chop pretty much anything.
I make homemade fries a lot. Cutting it the old fashioned way was taking forever. I'm not a chef in any way and definitely not great with knives. I always felt like I was about to cut my finger off. This has been amazing! I can slice up 5-6 potatoes in perfect little fries in under 5 minutes. Love it!!
Has worked very well.
Not as versatile as I had hoped
Will not accept a full size potato. To make French fries with this machine, you will have to manually push the potato part way into the blades. Then depress the handle into plastic cogs and click the potato the rest of the way through the thing. One thing I do like is the ability to dice food with it. After slicing part way, it has a knife slot where you can slice perpendicular to the slices thus producing diced veggies. I have used it for potatoes and Roma tomatoes.
