Weston Pro 320 10 Meat Slicer: Arrived quickly compared to other deliveries in this day and age. One of the round feet was bent over badly, so a spare bolt was installed to level it out. The central disk insert for the blade has an annoying gouge from shipping that I'm buffing out when I can with dremel tool. I was quite concerned the first half hour of use where we were slicing freshly baked hard crust sour dough bread. The blade would keep stalling out the electric motor. Well it seems to have cleared its break in period and now runs like a champ. The carriage grinds when over pressuring the last 1/2" of food stuff into the blade, so I will have to look at that next to see if it's just a lube issue or dodgy track. We did up some semi frozen beef slabs to perfection this evening prepping for biltong/ jerky. Belt driven blade is a big plus in my books to get away from the budget model plastic gear driven slicers. Clean up has involved a few minutes with a chopstick to get the sticky bits out from behind the blade support. The use of a fine bottle brush on flexy wire has been helpful. The rest is quite accessible for soapy cloth wipe down. No issues with the thickness adjuster losing her set point. It's quite stiff to rotate All in all a somewhat spendy upgrade for our little Canadian homestead kitchen, that I'm hoping will be here for many years to come.
returned: item damaged upon arrival. poor quality box to house $400 slicer. 30lbs. in 1.5 mm thick cardboard with no tape on bottom? defiantly fell out of the box and was repacked. parts scattered, blade off balance when operated,
