It took my 6 year old a couple of days to figure out the boogie board (the box does say recommended for age 8-12). He prefers the jump not to be filled because he says it slows him down... probably better suited for 8 - 12 year olds. I may have put in too much water, but the jump part already has a whole in it after just 3 uses. But, my 6 year old spends hours playing on this slide! He does stunts and has competitions, uses it with and without the boogie board, and has a blast every time we pull it out! He really loves the small pool area at the end, perfect for hot days! Very happy with this purchase!
This was an ingenious idea. By filling the ramp (at the end of the slide) with water and adding the 2 eyelets at the other end (for the plastic over sized head stakes), the slide doesn't budge. You no longer have to worry about constantly readjusting it. The water sprayers along the side could have been designed a little better so that they'd spray in the right direction without having to prop them up in some sections, but it's not horrible. I was impressed to see that the knee board it comes with was actually made pretty decently. Overall, it's a great product at an even better price. Most importantly, the kids love it. :)
A little overpriced for its function. The water in the side line will not stay focused on the slide, has to be adjusted constantly. It does provide a jump over the ramp.
I got this item for my granddaughter and does not seem to be as slippery as it should be. She and her cousins did have fun with it, but it seemed to work better without the boogie board.
