This was the big hit at our 6 year olds birthday party. We had 23 kids here and the slip n slide held up well. There was just a big line to wait in. Unlike other slip n slides the holes that the steaks hold in DID NOT tear. Although the plastic steaks did come out once in a while because of the ground getting saturated from the water and there are only 2 steaks that hold the very front of the slide down. The end of the slide is filled with water, this is what holds the other end to the ground. When I first set up the slip n slide there were some areas where the water didn't come out as strong. I found it was because the plastic tubing was just kinked a little and I just had to squeeze the tubing until the water flowed through just fine. FYI: the kids didn't have any problem with it not being slippery enough, but if you add a few drops of baby soap to it, it becomes super slippery! Only for the dare devils.
This slide is the best slide ever! my kids are having so much fun with it in the backyard...the water action is just so awesome! I recommend it to everyone for any occasion (birthdays, etc) or just to have fun!
I bought this product to use for my daughter's 2nd birthday party to amuse the child guest who were a little older than her. The kids really enjoyed it. I also bought the 4-pack of slide boogies as well. From what I could see, the kids didn't slide very well on it however I don't think they understood that they had to have a good running start to actually build up enough momentum to get a good slide. Nevertheless, they had a ball on it whether they could slide or not. Clean up was a little difficult with the slide. Grass and mud was stuck everywhere. Also, unless you invest in an electric air pump, the "factory" takes forever to inflate. In my opinion, though, it was still worth the trouble since the kids had so much fun. I think next time I'll probably purchase a big tarp to put underneath it so after prolonged use in one sitting, it does not waterlog parts of my backyard.
not bad, a little overpriced for what it is. Hard to get kinks out of tube so water flows freely to tunnel. Only used it once, so hope it lasts for more times.
Bought this for the kids after they ripped the pool (after two uses) from running and jumping in. I read all the reviews and almost didn't get it...but for the price I figured I would give it a chance. We have 4 kids: boys 4 & 5 years old & girls 1 & 3 years old. They loved this!!!! Not sure why everyone complained of tearing-it lasted two months twice a week with not a rip in it-I had to tear it apart this week to throw out with it getting cool. The only thing I didn't care for was the house thing kept moving-so I taped a bag full of sand to it each side for weight to keep in place. Besides that it held up against my crazy fun crew.
I have purchased several slip-n-slides over the past few summers. My son got this one as a birthday gift and I would say it is the best one we have had. I have a 6 year old and a 5 year old and they are both enjoying this one, not wanting me to turn the water off even after an hour of constant sliding. The only issue I have with it is that the water delivery system up the side of the slide tends to roll inwards as the kids slide on it, causing the water spray to overshoot the entire slide. That means I have to adjust it ever so often, twisting it to an upright position. So mom gets wet, too! I'm going to purchase the wham-o boogie boards and let the kids try those on this slide. Overall, good inexpensive fun for kids who love to get wet!
The kids loved it (ages 5-10). The problem was they broke it within 2 hours of its first use. I am sure it involved rough play on the kids part but unfortunately it is partially broken all the same. We can still use the Splash Factory (blow up part) and it can still distribute water but the water delivery down the tarp that keeps the length wet is torn (was connected to the hose and Splash Factory). It won't stop my son (age 5) from continuing to enjoy it but we will have to keep the tarp wet manually. Beware that it will brown your grass on a hot day but your grass should recover. Just don't leave the tarp in the same spot for multiple days.
If you purchase this product expecting to use it once, it will meet your expectation. I bought it hoping it would last an afternoon. It met my needs. If you're thinking you'll use this all summer, think again.
My husband and I bought this for our kids to have some summer fun. It was a waste of our money!!! The water hose on it is so bent that we can't use it. The funny thing, one of our neighbors up the street bought the same one and has it crumbled up waiting for the garbage man. Do NOT buy this water slide.
it takes forever to blow everything up then when you are finally done the hoses are all twisted cus some person at the factory cant do his job right. no water comes out any where. and this is the 2nd one of these i bought in 2 days and neither worked at all. really mad about this one.
