We purchased this to replace a white glass top unit we'd had for over 20 years. We are remodeling our kitchen and needed something to get us through until we replace the counter top/appliances. It works great, and cleans quite easily. It is a bit more difficult to clean than the glass top, as it tends to streak, but that's simply a materials issue and not a fault of the product itself. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing a reliable unit that doesn't cost an arm and leg!
When we built our house 10 years ago we put in a Whirlpool cook top. Over the years, with constant use, it became time to invest in a new product. After reviewing all of the alternatives on the market, we decided that our replacement would be another Whirlpool. After all, we do have a Whirlpool oven, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator so we have been pleased with the brand. The new stove top is so easy to clean up and I have always enjoyed the pilotless lighting. Not to mention the burner grates can go into the dishwasher. Also, the burner detents are a nice tool to have when adjusting the flame. What's not to like?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently decided to strip our kitchen of 34 years and redo it. Since we did all the work ourselves we wanted quality appliances to reflect our vision. We were impressed with the American label on the Whirlpool appliances so we chose Whirlpools oven, cooktop, microwave and dishwasher. All our friends and family have commented on our appliance selection. We have yet to remove the American sticker and we consider the appliances the cherry on top of our labor.
We have had this stove for almost a month and it looks beautiful! It sets in to the counter, making the counter space look open and clean.

We remodeled our kitchen with Whirlpool appliances. I'm happy with them except I am having trouble regulating my burners. I had them transferred to LP gas by a gas company but am still having trouble! This is a picture of the left front burner on the lowest setting! Things still boil on low! My wife and I were given this cooktop for Christmas. At first we were very pleased. It worked well and looked nice but then we used it. The first thing my wife noticed was it wasn't easy to clean without leaving streaks. This is after we followed the directions given. Next we made chicken soup and there was a spill over. I cleaned the broth immediatly but after cooking we found the burner base to be discolored and we are unable to get it clean. Our new cooktop now looks dirty around the burner and it really distracts from the appearance of the cooktop. We would not recommend this cooktop if it discolors so easily/
I reported stainless steel stains and u would not publish it! Now I won't buy another Whirlpool if you won't publish a negative review
