This is an AMAZING dryer. Probably the best I’ve ever used. My husband & I live in a mobile home so our main reason for purchase is the fact it is VENTLESS & it’s compact. The dryer is so quiet. You can hardly hear it with a tv going. It doesn’t take any more time to dry than another modern dryer. The end result are damp clothes, however there is enough steam and heat left in the bin at the end of the cycle to where if you fluff the clothes they’ll be dry in a matter of seconds. The dryer acts as a dehumidifier by capturing moisture from the air it uses. All the features are up to date and easy to figure out. It’s worked extremely well since we’ve had it and I’m happy to say we LOVE IT!
I bought this dryer primarily because it was the only one I could find in a stackable configuration that was compatible with my existing washer. Trust it will give me more service than the last one. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
It takes 5-10 minutes to clear Filter Indicator Light after cleaning; dryer won't start without it. "Extra Dry" option can't be selected. "Save Time" & "Gentle" options can't be selected. You don't have tech support besides having Technician coming to the home. Still experimenting with settings to get best dry time for various loads. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Do not like settings that cannot be changed because of pre-programming. Heat/ dryness sensors confusing.
We bought this dryer to replace our previous ventless compact dryer. So, We are very familiar with ventless compact systems. The machine is quite tech forward and offers far more settings than necessary, but it doesn't perform the one crucial task. It doesn't dry clothing. Even when using the "extra dry" setting for 1.5 hours we must hang all clothing. I hope we can return it. Very disappointed. I gave it the extra star only because it is energy efficient and fairly quiet.
Although I understand the concept, I feel like it takes a VERY long time to dry my clothes - no matter what size or fabrics or type of load. The dryer is a bit loud and it takes over an hour. Having to empty three different types of units is a bit cumbersome (Water, lint, and lower lint). I bought this along with the washer because of the side-by-side size that would replace my existing pair in my custom kitchen. They seemed to be the only option that fit all of my replacement size/style/color criteria. That being said, the compatible washer is excellent - and I am very pleased with it! I just wanted to comment that if giving 0 stars was an option, that would be my rating. The clothes are constantly left damp, even after drying for 2-3 hours. I have tried all the settings, I've read the instruction guide, changed the water conductivity, to no avail. I understand that the point of this machine is to save energy, however running one load for several hours does absolutely nothing. Awful product I wouldn't recommend.
We purchased this dryer almost 2 months ago and we still haven't been able to dry a single load. A technician has come over three times now and it still doesn't work. Last time he was here (2 weeks ago) he said he would look into getting us a replacement, but we haven't heard back from him or Whirlpool since. I agree with the 2.5 stars. No one told me that there is a place that fills up with water that needs to be emptied. I came home to find water leaking through to my bedroom ceiling because the water overflowed. There should be major warning labels on this!
We have the stackable combo. They look great together - super compact and really pretty. Unfortunately, the dryer does not work... AT ALL. Bedding, towels, super small loads, anything takes anywhere from 2-6 hours and then will need to hang dry. Not recommended if you're looking for a dryer to actually dry your laundry. Such a bummer.
