last year we bought a samsung washer and dryer and within 13 months the drum of the dryer cracked. We replaced the samsung dryer with a whirlpool. Immediately we noticed a big difference. The whirlpool dryer is much quieter and drys the clothes faster than the samsung. Even though both dryers have the same capacity, the whirlpool is noticibly smaller next to the samsung washer. Hurricane Matthew made it necessary to purchase a new dryer to replace the one that got ruined. Love the look and features of this machine! Must admit that the feature that "sealed the deal" was that it has a hamper-style door! I don't know why so many other brands don't offer this option..... This is my 1st dryer! I'm 24 so this feels like I've just crossed into IRL adulthood. I love all the heating and drying options and I don't ever have to worry about ruining any of my clothes again! I currently have an older Washer (Inglis Type 111) Hope one day I'll have the funds to upgrade that washer! That washer has been in my family since I was in middle school and it's still kicking. Purchased this unit approximately a month ago after reading the online reviews. I have to say that the quality of clean the clothes turn out with out an agitator is amazing. So easy to use.
