This cod surpassed my expectations. It is so fresh, buttery and just plain delicious! And oh so easy to cook. My family loved it! This Cod will definitely become part of our weekly meals.
I made a fish pie with the cod and shrimp for Christmas and the result was excellent. Any fish from Nordic Catch is good and while I usually eat salmon I occasionally like the cod because it‚'s the best I‚'ve ever found in this area. It is super tender and has a mild flavor. I highly recommend.
This cod is the best I have ever tasted! Hands down fresh, great customer service and I love that it is vacuum sealed. I made lemon ceviche, cod and lentils and a cesar cod salad! This lean fish is great for tons of dishes and I will definitely be buying more soon ;)
I usually drive from San Marino every Saturday morning to buy fish across the city to Santa Monica Seafood. Two weeks ago, I stumbled across the outdoor farmer's market in La Canada Flintridge, and discovered Nordic Catch. I had a recipe for Coconut Curry Fish I had found in the NYT. I needed Cod, and there it was! That night I experienced one of the best Thai fish recipes I had ever created. The Cod was amazing. So much so, I returned the next week and repeated the experience. Next week, I will explore more of the Nordic menu of fish.
I bought two pristinely packed trays of cod and cooked the fish that night. After a quick marinade, I put the pieces in a pan with brown butter and green onion, put the covered pan in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes. So tender, moist and delicious. Will be buying again.
This cod is top quality!! We switched from buying frozen fish from Trader Joe's, and are never going back! This fish is amazingly fresh, neatly filleted, and free of bones without pulverizing the meat. Best of all, it is delicious and super easy to cook. I just season with salt and pepper and pan-fry at medium heat for 4 minutes on each side. Super flaky, fresh, and delicious!
neither the smoked salmon nor the cos tasted fresh In fact I had to throw the cod out as it tasted bad. maybe your refrigeration was not good on the way to the farmers market. I am going to open the second smoked salmon tomorrow. It has been in the fridge since I bought it. hope it is better than the first.i have bought fresh and smoked fish several times before and it has been of top quality and taste.
Arrived barely chilled, Cod already smelled a bit, risked to eat it anyways. Had a minor Histamine reaction. It was tasty, buttery, flaky fish. But I'm not sure if I order again, since it arrived not so fresh and I have to be on a low Histamine diet.
Hi, enjoyed my cod order last time but this time I bought one regular and one marinated. The marinated one was very fishy from when I opened it and the marination just tasted salty. The regular cod was also very fishy compared to my order from last time
