This 9 inch spring form cheese cake pan item could not have come at a better time. I had seen this simple recipe on line and just had to make it. I followed the company's recommendations on the box where this pan came in and decided to make a thick cake so it would not run. My first attempt at making a fresh strawberry cake was a success. The springform pan was placed on a cookie sheet, just in case, but there was no runs, or drips. The pan was well sealed. It is so easy to use this pan, especially when you remove the outer layer, you are left with a perfectly round cake which can easily be removed when lined with some parchment paper. I love the fact that this pan is so easy to clean and non-stick as well. This pan will surely be put to good use especially with the holidays coming up.
This is a really nice cake pan. It's non-stick which helps get cakes out easier. It also isn't too hard to open up or put back together. Some pans can get a little tricky when putting the bottom in, I didn't have too much trouble with this one. It seems pretty durable and is nice and deep (2 3/4 inches). Spring form pans are great for so many things. I like to use them for cheesecake a lot. I also use them for baking cakes. I feel more confident about being able to get the cake out of the pan without it crumbling because you can remove the sides of the pan and run a knife underneath if you need to. This pan says it's dishwasher safe, but I prefer to hand wash non-stick pans to help the non-stick last longer. I don't have any negatives about this pan, it's great.
I received theWilton Bake It Better Angel Food Cake Pan, 2-Piece along with a box of cake mix for angel food cake. According to the directions on the cake mix box, the cake pan needs to be at least 10 by 4 inches. This cake pan is slightly smaller and it said there was a risk of overflow. When I put it in the oven I watched it for the first 10 minutes and it seemed to be fine so I let it cook another 20-25 minutes. I could smell the cake at that point. Turns out the cake did overflow the pan a bit and was stuck to the top of my toaster oven. So that's on me. if I had used a regular oven it probably would have been fine. The end result was it the cake did remove easily from the pan. Although there was quite a bit of residue, it washed away easily. And the cake was light and chewy as it should be.
I'm writing this review for the Spark Reviewer Program. I thought I would try This Wilton 2-Piece Angel Food Cake Pan. The cakes are inexpensive and easy to make. I like the pan for a variety of reasons. The most important one is that its easy to clean. Because the pan is in two pieces instead of one its much easier to clean. The Wilton Non Stick pan has a nice non stick coating which I feel makes this pan easily worth the price. Finally, The Wilton Non Stick Angel Food Cake Pan is easy to use. The two piece design provides for an easy release after the cake is finished. I found it the angel food cake easy to take out of the pan and a much better experience than the one piece pan that we currently have. So for those reasons, a quality pan, the two piece design, its easy to clean, nice non stick coating I would definitely recommend. A couple other points I will mention. First, this pan is dishwasher safe but its recommended to hand wash in warm soapy water for best results. The instructions say to not use dishwasher tablets as they will damage the finish and don't clean with abrasive cleansers or scouring pads.
I am reviewing the Wilton Angel Food cake pan. I couldn't wait to bake an Angel food cake. Inside the package was an Angel Food Cake Mix included. There is a nonstick coating for easy release. I never used any cooking spray before adding batter. I was worried the cake might stick, but it didn't. I am delighted with this Wilton Angel Food cake pan. It's light weight. Since there isn't any sticking, cleanup was a breeze. I recommend!
This pan is great quality! Seems very durable and has a nice quality non stick coating, that seems thick! Do note the 9” size of pan, i did not pay much attention to it and its smaller then my old spring form pan. This pan i think will hold up nicer to rusting then my old one because the non stick coating seems much thicker!
This on was amazing, I bought 2 to make cheesecakes, they did their job and the cheesecakes turned out amazing!!! Super easy to clean too!!! I highly recommend this pan to anyone who is needing a pan to make A cheesecake!! Im including a photo of one of the 2 cakes I made with that pan!!
While I needed a cake pan, this was the perfect one. I used two box mixes and baked a cake that looked like a normal two piece cake would. I sprayed no oil in the pan and it didn't stick at all. Just way too easy to use, even for someone like me that's not much of a cook. A friend decorated the cake and I'm so thrilled at how high it is. Will definitely being using this pan a lot. Cannot wait to make a thick cheesecake.
Great quality and easy to use! I was so glad to add a springform pan to my collection. I love cheesecake and this worked amazing to make my first one!! I was impressed with the durability of this pan.
I am a hobby baker and I love baking cakes. Angel food cake is one that I haven't had a request for, so I was excited to try baking one in this two piece tube pan. My first thought about the pan is that it may leak since it is two pieces. I have always used a solid tube pan for pound cakes and such. So, I prepared my stove area, preheated the oven and set down some foil under my cake pan just in case. I made my cake batter and pour it directly into the pan. The packaging of the cake pan stated it as non-stick and the cake recipe instructed to not grease the pan. So, I did not grease it and followed the directions exactly. If you are not familiar with angel food cake, the batter is very airy and light. Because of the consistency of the batter, I believe it is why it did not leak while using the 2-piece tube pan. I baked it according to the directions and let it stand on my stove top about 5 minutes before removing from the pan. I was worried it would stick, and it did. Luckily, I was able to get the cake out in one piece with a little work. I lifted the inner piece of the pan from the outer piece and flipped the cake onto a cake plate. With the knife I used to un-stick it from the outer pan, I was able to un-stick the bottom from the cake as well. The cake was fully cooked and there were no leaks. I would say this cake pan is worth getting. Use only for Angel Food cakes though. any other type of batter would leak. This can also be used to make monkey bread and other like desserts. I definitely will use it again, but I will make sure it is greased first.
