Great cake tins but awful instructions! I found them very vague and couldn't work out which pan was which. However, the internet is full of other confused cooks who finally figured this out and kindly posted clear instructions, measurements and tips online. Very happy with these tins, the cakes have been perfect.
Love this pan, its awesome
kindly somebody help me out how to use this set, because i dont have any booklet to follow.......its a circular pan, so how the heart will form in the centre??? also tell me, which side of the pan should i fill and bake...i shall be very thankful to you, if anyone help me out.......i need a quick response.....and does anyone has a video, how to use it????
I decided to buy this amazing cake pan to bake a special cake for our wedding anniversary. I am so glad I did. At first, I thought it might be tricky and wondered if I had bitten off more than I could chew. However, my fears were a waste of energy!! This is so easy to make, and the "wow factor" is great too. Thank you Wilton for creating such a great idea. I loved it, and everyone was asking what my secret was. My only disappointment was the directions to make the filling were poorly communicated, even when I looked at the you tube and Wilton videos, all I found was a list of ingredients, so I had to figure out how the strawberry sauce part was made. Apart from that, I was extremely happy.
I bought this pan to help us celebrate our Quarantine 40th Wedding Anniversary. The directions were not clear causing me to have to bake an additional cake (using 2 boxed batters) the following day. It was delicious but I don't think the pan had anything to do with that!
I know there are some people who were disappointed in this product. All I can say is watch the YouTube video, it's very clear and easy. Rather than fill my "heart" with icing, I turn the pans over and fill the two insets, using half a cake mix to bake each half of the inset heart, then flipped the baked heart-halves into the appropriate niche in the main cake. If you make the inset with the right color cake mix (pink or blue), you have an adorable cake for a "reveal" party or baby shower.
I had a few ideas about this one before I even bought the pans ... now I have them and had questions like so many other users about how to use them. I tries them out today and took some pix - hope it helps others http://girlbakes.blogspot.com/2012/02/wilton-heart-tasty-fill-cake-how-to.html
I brought this pan and am experimenting with it. I used a pudding and whipped cream filling and it too runny. Any suggestions for a good filling that is firm and not too sweet as the heart is a big chunk of the cake and it will be frosted too. Don't want to send my guests into sugar shock!
I bought this for valentines day and was disappointed with results, the pan works great but you need better instructions on how to fill and how much batter for the pan. I did what i thought it waid but my cake turned out with holes in the center that had no cake
I bought this pan hoping to use it to make a baby reveal cake for my daughter's baby shower. The instructions included were not helpful. Does anyone have a tutorial they would be willing to share? How far do you fill the pans? When I made the cakes, they didn't form a heart. Will you only be able to see the heart shape AFTER the cake is cut. I couldn't visualize it before I put the 2 cakes together. I was so disappointed. Thanks for any help.
