This product was purchased for my husband after hip surgery. I was pleasantly surprised to find all I had to do was remove it from the box, open it up and place it over the toilet. There was no assembly required. Because our toilet is elongated the footplate could not be used, however leaving it in the 'up' position is not a problem nor is it in the way. My husband has a sturdy support and I am able to easily move the Foldeasy Toilet Aid for cleaning. I would definitely recommend this product.
I got the name of the product on my deceased husbands old equipment and was pleasantly surprised how good the new one looked and is functioning. With arthritis in my joints and 2 bathrooms, I was glad to get this in addition to the setup my husband had in his bathroom. I'm a happy camper now!
My wife has a weak knee. The commode is in an enclosed space with no room for hand rails. This unit is well-designed to fit around the commode and into the space. It is very heavily-constructed. It allows her to use her hands and arms to lift herself up. The price is very reasonable for such a well-made and designed assist. I highly recommend it.
Easy to set up, accommodates Elongated Seats as Well as the Round -- All without damaging anything. Very comfortable to use with all the safety needed to sit and stand safely.
I am 86 years of age and this really makes a visit to the Loo unassisted a snap.It is easy to assemble. My nephew did that does not require special tools.it is easy to keep clean and very sturdy. I need no other assistance now I have this device.
This item was for my husband after surgery. It worked really well. Much better than the ones that hook onto the toilet.
This unit is light but very strong. It unfolds and sets up quickly with no adjustments necessary. It folds up flat for travel which is one of the reasons we bought it. Our senior had problems moving herself back far enough on the toilet seat and causing some embarrassment. Now she has the stable, non-slip arms to support herself as she sits. This is a great product for care providers to have on hand.
works better than one attached to the toilet. more sturdy.
This product assembles easily with no tools, installs and uninstalls easily with no tools. It is very strudy. To test it I lifted myself up using only my arms and the product held steady under me with all my weight over it. Easy to clean and store when not in use. Happy I spent the extra money to get this product over the flimsy bolt on styles. I feel very assured that my parent can use it alone and will be supported and safe.
Easy to use, easy to adjust, easy to store, easy to transport. This is a great idea and appears well-made. The only issue I have with it is that it doesn't fit perfectly with my mom's elongated toilet. Because the base of her toilet is oval and elongated, the frame doesn't fit all the way to the back when the gray plastic foot rest is down. So she can either use it with the footrest locked up off the floor in its storage position (where it can't be used to help put weight on the frame to secure it) or with the footrest down, but the back of the frame not resting against the toilet tank, making it a little less comfortable to sit. This may sound confusing, but would make perfect sense if you could see it!! The bottom line, though, is that she uses it with the footrest up (not on the floor) and it works just fine. She loves it so far and hopefully this will prevent her from falling anymore. I strongly recommend this product! A note about cost -- this "Foldeasy" style is considerably more expensive than the ones that need to be screwed in. For me, the extra cost is well worth it because it requires no tools or assembly and can easily be moved from one bathroom to another (perfect for taking with you for visits or vacations).
