I ordered two of these tables after having read several reviews and comparing prices. Wal-Mart had the best price around. I read that some had a problem with the pre-drilled holes being misaligned I had absolutely no problems. My 16 year old daughter actually put the tables together, and quickly, too! The color is beautiful and true to the picture. The storage space was a great help for me as my space and storage are limited. I definitely would reccomend these to anyone!
I use it as a end table. Its great! Very easy to assemble. I have a fairly heavy lamp on it and it definately sturdy enough to hold it. I personally don't store anything in it yet. I think its a steal at this price. All my guests think it was purchased at a high end store. It is more heavy duty that I was expecting. I was anticipating very thin wood with a very fake finish and it was going to be a temporary solution. Well I can tell you I am not looking for a table any longer I have found exactly what I needed!
No one would guess its a storage cube. Perfect height, size, and look for end table. It's larger than I thought it would be. Wood is really nice looking. Super easy to assemble.....only 8 screws! All holes lined up and end result is perfect....all edges and lid line up exactly. Couldn't be happier. Used high grade furniture polish on the lid before I used my table. Can't believe this is so reasonably priced.
I am very glad I did not heed the negative reviews prior to purchasing two of these units. They were extremely well-packed and arrived without a single flaw. Assembly, as with any other furniture product, needs to be done WITHOUT tightening all the screws prior to putting all the pieces together. Everything fit like a glove and I had both units assembled in about 30 minutes. Some previous reviews stated they scratch easily, but I accidentally bumped them quite a few times during assembly, and no scratch shows. They held a great deal more than I anticipated which was a real plus on my account. There is no wasted space and they can be filled to the top and still close securely. I am very satisfied with these units, and may actually purchase a few more to keep for future needs. Attached are two photos.
I bought two based on the photo alone. Real wood, no problems with assembly, look great. There are some minor finish anomalies that won't show up in a small photo, but I actually like it that way...gives it a handmade flair. One sits handsomely in our carpeted living room, the other in a tiled sun room, both working perfectly as occasional/side tables adjacent to seating.
I love this! Mine came with a cracked side, I'll submit a request for broken parts, other than that, beautiful!
I order two of them as end tables for a sectional in my living room. They are fairly large, sturdy and have a nice amount of storage space on the inside. very easy to assemble. For the price they look very nice. However......One of the two cubes I ordered had one piece of wood was cracked in shipping. Walmart offered for me to return and request a new one. In the box from the manufacturer is a form for to request a replacement part/ piece, no phone number or email contact. I mailed the form requesting the replacement part but am still waiting, it's been about 2-3 weeks. if it doesnt come soon i may return the one with the cracked piece and just keep one.
I use 2 of them as a coffe table & they look great and function the same. Only gave it 3 stars because I wiped down one with a damp cloth and the top warped a little so the fit isn't as good as it was when I got it. So now I know and don't do that to the other one. Stil, love them!
The product turned out very well and looks good, especially after putting several coats of polish on it. But be prepared to have to work and shim to get the sides to go together just right. It is not something you can just put together bang out of the box. It is going to take some work and if you are not handy with some tools and know what to do in a situation where it isn't going to fit together without some work, then you will be disappointed. But I found it worth the extra effort to get it together properly as it looks quite nice when you finish it and for the price you can't beat it.
Cube arrived at store for pick up 3 days early. Took about 20 minutes to put together , no problems. Solid when assembled cube fit and finish is good. Good value for the money.
