Here's a trick and a treat for the whole family! Gilda Radner is the voice of a washed-up witch who casts a dazzling display of magical mischief on two children (Small and Tender) and their babysitter (Bazooney), for Halloween. These kids really want to scare people, so with a zap of her magic wand, the wacky witch turns them into real monsters! They terrorize the whole town and the magic wand gets lost. The kids could be monsters forever! Of course the witch, old pro that she is, thinks she can handle any kind of trouble - not expecting to be chased all over the countryside by an angry mob. Nevertheless, her spirits are undiminished, the wand is retrieved and everybody gets to be their very own fantasy character on this special night that comes but once a year.
