[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Withings sleeping mat is a great tool to learn your sleep patterns. For someone like me that struggles with insomnia, it is a great tool to see where you may be struggling. The Sleeping mat goes on the side you sleep and under your mattress. If you have a bed that has just a bed frame with no box spring. You can still use this, it explains in the directions how to do it. It's what I have and it works great. You have to calibrate it. It's important you follow the instructions, because you might have to reset it to get it to work. You do have to leave it plugged in. The mat is awesome because it tells you how long you were in a deep sleep, rem, and if you were light sleep. It lets you know how long you snored, if you do. It also tells you your heart rate and if you had breathing disturbances. It also tells you how long you were up in between times. That's why it's important you do not sit on it while it is calibrating. There is added benefits to the sleeping mat if you wanted to pay the monthly or yearly subscription.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this a few nights as I wasn't getting a good nights sleep. It helped me track when I was waking and having issues sleeping. I've even used this for my 5 year old as he's been grumpy in the morning. Now we know what we need to work on. I'd def recommend this product!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited when I received a noticed that I would be trying out the sleep mat. I am someone that suffers from insomnia and sometimes I can't sleep. The last couple of nights it has track my sleep although I'm still trying to figure it out how the app works and how the measurements mean. I will continue to use it to track my sleep patterns. I would highly recommend it and although this is not intended to diagnose someone with a sleep disorder it's great way to know you sleep patterns. It's best to go to a doctor if you think you are having trouble sleeping well at night.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you have the Withings app, this is a very good product to use. If you don't, you can easily download it and set up the account. Setting this up was a lot easier than I expected. Take the mat out of the box and put it UNDER your mattress. Do not sleep directly on this. You then plug it in to a power outlet and pair it with your app and you are all set! If you want more detailed information about your sleep, this is a good option. It works similar to a sleep tracker on a wrist band, but is more precise as it measures your movements while you are sleeping. It can help you track your periods of restlessness and how long you are in REM, deep or light sleep. It helps identify if you have any breathing concerns, which alerted us that there may be something to discuss with my husband's doctors. If you don't like wearing a monitor or just want more information and details into your sleep patterns, definitely check this out.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mat is a great idea to track sleep. Bluetooth or WiFi connect to your phone (with their app) to get data. I think this would make a neat gift as well for someone who would be interested in their sleep patterns. Thin, easy to use mat goes under your mattress or at the headboard.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoy this sleep tracker, I don't like wearing my grubby Apple Watch to bed, so this is a great way to track my sleep. It shows quality and many useful stats, really makes you feel like a piece of garbage for getting bad sleep lol, but I need that accountability in my life to guilt mr into bettering my sleep habits. It's a work in progress, but definitely worth it. Not sure what the results would be with two people in the bed, but as a single sleeper, that's not my problem at the moment.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone whose husband doesn't sleep well, and wakes up often, it's important that we get to the root cause. Sometimes he wakes up panicking from his sleep, and it scares me quite often. Before we do a sleep study, I'm wanting to start tracking his sleep, so we can get a head start and discuss things with our dr. I like that this device gives you a sleep score, and in depth look at which times you're in a deep sleep, rem sleep, light or awake. It lets you know if you've snored, and how many interruptions you've had along with heart rate tracking. I was hoping this wouldn't have to be plugged in the entire time, so that's my biggest complaint as we won't be able to use it until we have an extra space available. We are going to have to rearrange our room or unplug our phones from the outlet in order to be able to use it unless we got a charging block with two ports. With this mat, you place it under your mattress, and underneath your chest. I'm not sure how accurate it is, or if there's an issue with radiation. Also with two of us in the bed along with our dog, I can't imagine how it will affect things. I've heard some people say they don't think it's accurate with two people in the bed. I'm going to try and hook it up on a day when my husband just needs a nap, because I'm so excited to try this out when I'm not sleeping next to him to get the best results. You do have to download the withings app before use, but it's nice that it syncs via WiFi. The color is a nice gray shade, and the fabric is a little rough, but since it's not actually touching you, it is great for the job
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never heard of this app before or product. It is more of a lifestyle app but the sleep pad is part of their intricate program to overall better health. The sleep mat is smaller than I thought roughly about 48 inches long and very thin. It goes under your mattress and you plug in the usb to gather data that sends it right to the app. It's a great tool if you are one that wonders how restful your sleep is or your heart rate during sleep. Very user friendly and easy to set up without major fuss. The app itself to view for those that are tech savvy will be excellent but I see an issue navigating for those that are not hence the 4/5 stars Overall this gives me better data than my sleep number bed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to receive this sleep mat! Packaging was sleek and even has a little rope for you to carry it. Overall, this is a really good option for tracking sleep if you don't want to wear a device. Just an FYI, I do wear an Oura ring, so I was able to compare it against the ring. I think it's pretty cool it can track sleep and snoring even through a mattress. This mat would be excellent for someone who goes to bed and doesn't scroll on their phones in bed. I tend to be a scroller, so I might lie in bed anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours winding down on my phone. Beware that time might be tracked as “sleep” since you're in bed and it's able to detect you. For example, last night, Oura tracked me as sleep just under 8 hours, while the mat tracked me as sleeping 10 hours. No big deal for me, but if you're focused on accuracy, that might be a little lacking. I think if we look at actual sleep hours / quality with the Oura vs sleep mat, the mat is probably 80% consistent with what Oura finds. Which is pretty good considering it's not even touching your body. One other note - with set up, if you don't intend on setting it up right away, don't plug it in. The plug in somehow activates the mat, and it goes dormant and unable to connect to your app if you wait too long. I wasn't sure how long it would take given it was my first time, and after waiting a couple of minutes, I clicked in “mat not connecting” and it told me to unplug and replug and it did the trick! Overall, I would highly recommend this mat for anyone who is curious about their sleep and tends to go to bed when they're ready to sleep. I expect it would be very accurate for those people. If you're a scroller in bed, and you don't care about specific hours slept, I think it's also quite good. But if you want more specific sleep hours and more accurate data, I would recommend not lying in bed before you're ready to sleep or to get a wearable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice to have sleep tracking info without actually having to wear a device but it doesn't seem to be as accurate. For instance my sleep/wake times and sleep duration were consistently off by hours! I tried recalibrating the mat but it didn't help. You get the tracker and a USB plug in the box and need to download the app. The tracker is placed between the mattress and box spring which can be challenging with heavier mattresses and then there's a power cord hanging from the bed. You will need to download an app for setup and tracking which syncs with Apple's Health app for a broader view of your sleep and activity levels giving you a better understanding of your overall health. The tracking mat just didn't work well for me but maybe the device I received was a lemon but either way I'll stick with a wearable device for now.
