As a GF eater, I get tired of only rice-based products, so love this as a change.
Good source of protein and fiber. Takes less than 10 minutes to prepare (coat with an egg, heat with oil, heat liquid in microwave) and less than 10 minutes to cook. Easy to clean up. Not cheap, but Walmart is less expensive than my local supermarket.
I want to thank Walmart for making it possible for me to receive these six packets of Kasha here in the US Virgin Islands. Kasha is the main side dish in one of my family's traditional dishes (served with meat balls, pot roast, and bow tie noodles). I had searched ALL our supermarkets for the product in vain. Alan
Excelent
I use buckwheat (Kasha) in making bread, roles, pizza dough, cinnamon rolls, fougasse etc. Love the little chewey flecks of goodness.
A wonderful hot cereal for breakfast. I have recommended it to people who have since searched it out. I only wish it was available in all the WalMart stores.
This is a product that can be used as a side dish, breakfast, etc. Having the choice of the size of the granulation makes a big difference, and the medium is perfect for me. Cooks, you can do your own thing with it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
