I love the bird house I just wish it was longer and more holes
I have owned my own Observation Birdhouse for 15+ years and it has held up very well. Excellent quality. I will buy another one if this one ever wears out! I just bought my daughter and her family one, and sent another one to my brother. They are all thrilled.
We gave the Observation Birdhouse to our grand daughters for Easter. It will be a good tool for them to watch nature up close. They are very aware of their surroundings and respect the beauty of nature. This item is well constructed, is easy to mount on a window, and was shipped in good time.
I set this up in my classroom window. The only issue I see is there is no way to clean out at the end of the season, without taking the entire birdhouse apart. We can't wait to see if some birds build a nest!
I was disappointed because the bird houses that I have seen in catalogs have a window that we can see the birds nesting but he cannot see us. This one does not..
We put ours up on Christmas day after Santa delivered it. We love the idea of it, as we have tons of birds in our backyard. We haven't had a bird come close to it yet. We had a friend say that their bird house, from another company, had something in the window (like a mirror for the birds, and he could still see in the house) so that the birds could not see him. He thinks the birds won't come if they can see us. Our birdhouse did not come with anything like this. Wondering if ours is missing this, or if people have had luck with birds building a nest.
