A very cool chime with an integrated solar-powered light that comes on automatically when the sun goes down. Capiz are farmed in Indonesia and every bit is used. The pieces are carefully sorted, dried, sliced, shaped, sanded and dyed. Strung together with strong, invisible, nylon cord, the thin, flat translucent pieces provide luminous color. In the 1500s, capiz were used as windowpanes in houses; now they are used in all sorts of home decorations, including lamp shades and vases and (of course) wind chimes! This Capiz Solar Chime incorporates a solar-powered light that provides mood lighting for your outdoor entertainment area. After recharging all day, the light in the chime automatically turns on at night. The effect is breathtaking - the gentle music from the chime combines with soft light that moves and dances as the capiz move in the breeze. Looks great and doesn't make too much noise! Solar light stays on all night long, which is just what we wanted! When the sun shines through them they are beatififul!
This chime is lovely to look at & makes a delicate soft sound. It has the added bonus of a solar powered light at night. Very charming. I cannot find any fault with it.
I love the gentle sound of the wind through these capiz shells and the color is perfect on my back porch among the plants.......... Thanks

PRICEY BUT BEAUTIFUL. STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER BUT IT'S HANGING NEAR MY KITCHEN WINDOW UNTIL THE SPRING AND THEN, OUTSIDE IT GOES. SO PRETTY TO LOOK AT AND IT SOUNDS SO SWEET. I HOPE TO ENJOY IT FOR MANY SPRING AND SUMMER SEASONS.

We bought this for my mother-in-law. The shells are translucent so at night when the solar light is on, it really glows. It looks beautiful. We are going buy when for ourselves.

We Love The Look Of The Chime/Lamp. The Only Complaint That We Had Was The Shells Themselves Were Not Wrapped All That Well During Shipment. We Have Ordered These Types Of Shells From Other Companies Who Protected Each Strand Individually. That Was Nice. This Lamp Only Has 1 Battery Which Gets Charged By Sunlight. Due To Only Having The One Battery, The Lamps DO NOT Stay Lit For 8 Hours As Advertised. We Wish They Stayed Lit Longer And The Light Was Quite A Bit Brighter. Nice Lamps For a Polished Look Out On Our Front Deck. Bring Inside During High Winds!
Very pretty and lights up at night. When there is a very windy day/or night, chimes are very loud and can be annoying to the people living next to you; if your homes are atached or condo/co/op areas.
