This is a deep, resonant chime that combines beautifully with the other ""planet"" group of chimes. Large enough to hang in tree and yet it rings with even a slight breeze. Harmonizes with the other windchimes, Pluto and Earth, that hang from the eaves. Soothing, inducing a peaceful feeling.
My latest 'Encore ~ Winds of Neptune' completes my backyard symphony! I am so impressed with the thouroughly enchanting musical & blended sound. (An 'ancient Pentatonic scale the makers say) I have even posted a video on my Facebook page, and my friends are envious :). I was so pleasantly surprized when the tiny chimes: 'Murcury, Mars & Pluto' were finely tuneducated and Angelic sounding! (Instead of annoyingly clinky like most small windchimes) We spend most of our days now, outside, being soothed by the wind and 6 'planetary' Woodstock windchimes.
It is a good size the perfect size and sounds wonderful as the sound resonate after every strike. It's loud enough but not overwhelming. The longest tube is 30in. and shortest is 22in. I also have Pluto from this collection and both go very well together, Neptune being a deeper sound and Pluto of the higher level sound.
I am very pleased with these chimes so far! I had been looking for something to remind me of my dad who passed away last year. He loved wind chimes! Now every time they chime, I think of him. The sound is very rich and soothing! I listened to the various Woodstock chime tones online and chose the Neptune. I am very happy with my choice! I also loved the fact that these came assembled so all I had to do was hang these! Happy with product!
I am thrilled with this purchase. I wanted a deep sound and that's exactly what I received. All my previous wind chimes have had to be modified as it took hurricane force winds to have them work. To my utter surprise this wind chime doesn't require much wind to produce a peaceful tone. Very pleased!!
I have loved Woodstock wind chimes for years longing to purchase just the right ones. Neptune was perfect for the zodiac loving Pisces. So I purchased one for me and one to share. In the wee hours of the morning I lay in bed and just the slightest breeze sends out a joyful sound. I would recommend the Neptune to anyone that longs for a soothing melody.
I purchased these wind chimes in silver & they look awesome on my front porch & sound beautiful!! Great quality! I've already purchased another set to hang outside my bedroom window!
The delivery was fast. It sounds beautiful. My girlfriend loves it. My only thing is, I thought it was a 54"" chime set. It was 30"" length. They measure the height from string top to string bottom. I didnt know that. Thats my issue. I thought it was misleading. But it sounds & looks beatiful.
Good; Our guest usually notice it and comment on the sound and looks of the product. The strings have started to deteriorate aftet two years under the eave of our house. The Florida sun is rough on outside products but I thought it was somewhat sheltered. Someone suggested to replace the strings with pliable fishing wire.
My wife and I have always loved the WindChime brand. However, with the Chimes of Neptune, after about 2 years of usage (under the porch but outside), The Silver Chimes began to spot (corrode) and the String became britle and broke. My 1st set of chimes lasted 10 years. This last one just over 2 years.
