We have had problems with other chimes on our screened porch as they are not sensitive enough to the restrictive airflow. This chime needs very little wind to sound and has a wonderful sound quality.
I hang these chimes on my porch and listen to them while working on my computer. They are next to my bedroom so at night, with the gentle breezes, they help me to fall asleep. The cords did weather with time on my first set, I now have 2 new ones and have given a set to my sister. Everyone comments on the beautiful tone they have...very soothing.
This was the first of the collection I bought. I like the melody it makes very mellow and peaceful. I later bright Neptune with compliment it well.
I am very satisfied with the Woodstock chime I purchased from Walmart and would recommend it to a friend.
We have bought several of these over the years as gifts. Woodstock has phenomenal sound quality and Walmart markets them at competitive prices.

We hung our new wind chime in a lightly breezy area, and it makes the most pleasant background noise. The size is very suitable for a front porch and the design appears to be high quality and is certainly attractive.
We have a large wrap-around front porch, and after I painted it recently I wanted to do something to make it feel truly special. So I bought a Woodstock Earth wind chime at a local store and liked it so much I decided to go online to see if perhaps it was part of a series. To my pleasant surprise, I came across the Hayneedle site with its vast selection of wind chimes. I decided to purchase five more Encore chimes since they are designed to harmonize with each other: Mars, Polaris, Pluto, Neptune and Venus. They look great hanging from my porch but more importantly they sound fantastic, although it gets a little loud when the wind blows hard (but I love it, lol). This specific wind chime, the Pluto, is one of the mid-sized chimes in the set. It's small enough to hang pretty much anywhere while at the same time large enough to produce tones that can be heard from some distance away. The tones are on the high side, and the chimes are certainly pretty enough to stand on their own if you're looking to purchase just one. If I were buying only one chime, I'd buy either this one or the Earth, although obviously it's just a matter of taste.As far as purchasing from Hayneedle, this was my first experience and went quite smoothly. The site is easy to navigate, the purchase process is straightforward [...]I'm very pleased with the purchase.
We could not be happier with the Pluto Wind Chime. I happened to order two; one for myself and one as a gift for a musician. After hearing the tone, I realized the gift chime is going to be a big hit. It has a gorgeous clear peaceful tone. I am tempted to purchase another one for the other side of my home. We're in a little canyon and it's a perfect location for chimes catching the breezes. This would be a great gift item for folks living in this type of location.
When we received our Chime and hung it outside it just added beauty to your yard. The gentle breeze that it took to bring the Chime to life and make that beautiful and mellow music was wonderful. I told all your friends and family about this product and told them if them wanted something not only beautiful to look at but beautiful to listen to they need to check out buying themselves one of these beautiful Chimes. It is beautifully made and we know that it will last for many years to come. It came with some basic instructions about care which were very helpful as to what products to use to keep your Chimes looking great for years to come.
