An extremely convenient, powerful blower

I currently have a gas-powered Stihl blower that I use to do yard work. But, let's say you just want to blow some leaves off the deck (in my case, I have a lot of trees nearby). To use a gasoline blower, I have to set the choke, pull the cord a couple of times until it tries to start, switch off the choke, pull a couple more times until it starts. Then I have hold the trigger in until it warms up and runs smoothly. Not really a big deal if you are doing sidewalks, driveway, and a deck after mowing. But it you just want to blow something off that will take a few seconds, this unit is great for that. You see, you just pick it up and push the switch and your set – no cords and nothing to pull to start. That being said, this unit is pretty nice. The build construction is good, and it weighs only around five pounds – it is very light, balanced and easy to hold. The noise level is quite low so you won't have to worry about disturbing the neighbors. The air flow is quite adequate and it did a good job of blowing the pine needles off my driveway and leaves off my deck. Now it does not compare to the power of my gasoline blower, of course, but it is still pretty good at moving debris. Also this blower does not have a variable speed – just on and off. The battery back is quite convenient. You get a charger on which the battery mounts easily. The estimated charge time is five hours after an initial charge of twelve hours. The manual recommends disconnecting the battery when fully charged because the charger does not automatically switch off. It would be nice if it did. A green light indicates full charge. That battery inserts into the blower very easily. Just insert it into the back of the unit until you hear a click. To remove the battery, just push a button and pull it out. This is a great device for those quick jobs you might have, or even longer jobs like cleaning up after mowing. The battery should provide ample time to accomplish any job you have around the house.

WORX 20V Li-ion Cordless Sweeper/Blower The WORX 20v Li-ion cordless yard blower features a jumbo air tube for extreme air flow. When I pulled it out of the box and assembled the long tube section, I was impressed! The blower comes with the li-ion battery and wall charger. I plugged the battery into the wall charger and allowed it to complete a full charge. Reading the specs on this box was impressive. With air flow from 60-90 mph and a 340cfm(cubic feet per minute) and 9.6m3/min(Volume flow rate) this thing can get the job done and fast. The blower weights about 7 pounds and is not hard at all to handle. It has two speeds and a generous air flow for both. The battery can also be used with other WORX equipment as well, so this could be just one piece of many cordless yard tools you could own. Now, let's talk performance. This thing is awesome. I don't know about you, but in the fall I have a truck load of leaves to rake. A blower is one of my favorite things to use to move the leaves to one location for bagging. My usual dilemma is the cord on my original blower. I would have to lug out a 50 to 100 foot extension cord to cover my quarter of an acre yard, always try to get the right angle without tripping on the cord, “not anymore”. The battery allows you to walk freely with no cords and lasts for about 45 minutes. I would use the recharge time to bag the leaves at hand. The power that this thing has is really amazing. This would be perfect for that elderly couple or a mom that is trying to get the yard work done without the hassle of gas or cords. I love it!

The blower was easy to assemble and came with the battery almost fully charged. Charging was simple. Just connect the battery to the charger, plug the charger into an electric outlet, and wait until the green light turns to solid green. I charged the battery for less than an hour right out of the box to get it fully charged. The nozzle came in two parts and snapped together and snapped onto the motor. When I was first using the blower, the nozzle fell off so I must not have had it clipped in properly. I snapped it back together and had no more problems. The noise is lower than an electric blower I have. The blower weighs about the same as other electric blowers. I used the blower to sweep leaves off my patio and it took 15 to 20 minutes and the blower was still strong. When I finished, I tried to recharge the battery and the red light was flashing because the battery was hot. I waiting until the battery cooled to recharge and it took about 3 hours to fully charge. It looks like it may take about 3 hours to charge after each use of about 20 minutes. The air intake area is wide and the covers the entire width across the back. The intake was strong enough to keep sucking my shirt. Other blowers I have used had the air intake on the side so I could hold the blower with the air intake facing away from me. I had to keep moving my shirt off the air intake area. Other than that, the blower is good quality, strong blowing, and holds a charge for 20-30 minutes of continuous use on HIGH. This blower would be good for smaller or infrequent jobs around the home.

An Awesome Rechargeable Blower!

When I ordered this blower I didn't have a lot of faith. I have heard that the rechargeable blowers are just not worth your money - that they just do not have enough power. I have been proven wrong! I have what I call “crochet shoulder” which is basically a bad right shoulder so it's very difficult for me to pull the cord to start my gas blower. With this blower there is no electrical cord, no cord to pull, no gas or oil required – just be sure the battery is charged and you are off! When you open the box you will need to allow it to fully charge for twelve hours. Then there is a switch that you kind of roll to the setting you choose – less forceful blow to a more forceful blow. It is very easy to use, very portable, and is light enough to easily manage (unlike my gas powered blower). It has plenty of power to blow grass clippings, leaves, dirt, etc. I have a large driveway, two sidewalks, and a large deck and I do believe it is going to get the job done. I really was shocked by the forcefulness of this blower. Another big selling point from me - no stinky smells from the gas/oil mixture of a gas powered blower. I hate that smell and this blower completely solves that problem because there is not gas/oil. I would recommend this to anyone searching for a rechargeable blower. I think you will be amazed and very pleased with this product!

The WORX 20V Li-ion Cordless Sweeper/Blower is light and easy to handle. I am happy with it because it is the first outdoor tool that I feel comfortable using. My son & I use it for blowing off the front and back porch and my son even did a video demonstration on how easy it is to use. It charges with a 20 V lithium battery and 8 attachments. I haven't had a chance to use all of the attachments yet, but you can even deflate pool rafts & toys with it. It is pretty powerful and does a perfect job in blowing everything off my porches in minutes. My son used it to blow out the garage, but had to recharge it before he was done because he used it for both porches first. The only drawback would be that the charge only lasts about 10 minutes, but if you don't have large areas to clean, then there is no worry. It is simple to use and although instructions come with it, you won't need it. It has two speeds, low & high. I would definitely recommend this blower, especially if you just want to clear your walkway, porch or patio as it is a breeze to use. Easy for women or elderly to use too.

This blower/sweeper is a clean sweep! Honestly though, my husband really likes this addition to his lawn care. It's affordable and very handy. He says it makes his job much easier, especially now that leaves are starting to fall it's a much faster process to just blow the leaves off the back porch than to get out there and sweep it like we have done in the past. It's lightweight, even with my small frame I can handle it just fine by myself. The battery life has not been an issue either, we can get all of the yard work done in our yard (front and back) with still plenty charge left. I am sure it will hold up well over time. Usage really couldn't be easier either, it's simple enough to move and maneuver. Set up couldn't have been easier either, just the two large pieces and you're good to go. The charging station also doesn't take up too much room and seems to work nicely. It's easy to store, even if you need to break it apart for storage purposes. Overall I think it's a really good blower especially for the price, and certainly makes the job easier. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The WORX 20V Li-ion Cordless Sweeper/Blower is amazing. When I first received the product and opened the box the first thing I noticed is how light it was... just weighing 5.7lbs just about anyone can use it. The blower was really easy to put together, all that you have to do is snap 2 pieces into place (upper blower tube and lower blower tube) and that literally only takes seconds to do. When you first get the machine you have to charge the battery (about 5 hours.) When the battery is charging it will have a green blinking button that stops blinking once charged. The blower has 2 different air speeds that are controlled where the on and off button is. The instructions are simple and so is using the blower. I used the blower to blow off the leaves from the back deck which is pretty large and has 2 levels. I was surprised at how fast I got the job done... this sure beats using a broom. I'm pretty excited about this machine because keeping up with the outside of the house has been very time consuming and this is going to make the job that much easier. I love how Walmart has great low prices so I would recommend this if you are looking for a good Sweeper/Blower.

Great blower - convenient and easy to use

We recently had the chance to try out the WORX 20V Li-ion Cordless Blower. First impression: great looking design. This machine looks really great right out of the box. The black and orange are a great combo, but the design is nice as well. This is very visually pleasing. This is a cordless blower, so no annoying electrical cord to drag around. The battery does need to be fully charged before the first use. The charger just plugs into the wall, and the battery slides into the opening on the charger. The charger also has a long cord, so you don't have to find an extension cord just to charge the battery. There is a light on the charger that will blink while charging and turn solid when the charge is complete. It was a very fast charge, being under two hours to fully charge the battery the first time. (We have not yet had to recharge it, so not sure of the second or subsequent charging times.) The battery just pops into the opening on the back end of the blower, near the handle. Of course, my husband loved the blower, and loves the WORX brand. But I had to try it out as well! The blower is actually pretty lightweight compared to how it appears. It was very easy for me to handle as well. There are two blowing speeds - low and high. While I had my ears plugged, expecting a lour roar, the noise level is not bad at all. It is very similar to a vacuum cleaner when running on high. So far, we've really enjoyed using this item. We didn't have anything outside to use it on, so we experimented on the inside! On low, it easily blew cat hair and dust from the top of the curtains. (Be prepared to vacuum afterwards! But it actually was pretty helpful!) Where we live now, we have a very awkward hallway area over the stairs that goes up to the second level. It is sealed off awkwardly so can only be reached from the stairs themselves. It gets dust webs in the corners, because nothing we own can reach those spots due to the height. We decided just for fun to try the blower out on those dust webs. No trouble at all for the WORX blower! On high, the dust almost immediately was flying down to the carpeting where we could easily clean it up! First time in a long time that the hallway looked good! We have since had a chance to use it outside as well. It does a great job outside too - go figure! We blew away leaves and grass trimmings left behind by the complex law crew, who never clean up anything after mowing and weed eating. We usually have to wait for wind to blow the grass clippings away from the front door, but the WORX blower took care of everything for us in only a couple minutes. We highly recommend this blower. Not only is it much more convenient to be cordless (at least for a small place like ours), but it has plenty of power to get any of your jobs done, and nicely balanced to not wear out your arms while using it. Excellent job, WORX!

The WORX 20V Li-ion Cordless Sweeper/Blower comes in handy around my house. This cordless blower came well packaged with detailed instructions for the blower and the battery charger. Assembly was easy and simple. The blower came with two sections that easily clicked onto the main motor. It also came with a battery pack and charger. Once assembled I proceeded to charge the battery. Within 2 hours the battery indicator light went to solid green which indicated that it was fully charged. However, when I used it, it only worked for less than 5 minutes. The blower gave me a tone to indicate that the battery was low and then stopped shortly after the tone. The battery instructions read that the battery may need several charging times before it is full charged. Once I charged the battery the second time, it worked just fine. The blower measures about 3 feet and is very light weight. My 9 year old has no problems carrying and using this blower. I really like how I can manage it very easily too. It is well balanced and fits nicely in my hand. I look forward to using this blower a lot during the fall season. Overall, I think this blower will come in handy in our yard.

Battery Does Not Have Enough Power

Reviewed in the USA on 2015-09-28T17:00:00

After receiving the new Worx 20v Li-ion Cordless Sweeper/Blower (aka Turbine Cordless Blower) # WG546 I was very happy to store my 13 year old electric leaf blower and break out the Worx cordless blower to clean up after mowing the following week end. The Worx blower came with one 20 volt battery, a charger that the battery clips in to and a short blower end tube that you just slip on to the end of the blower tube. Then I slipped the battery in the blower and turned it on. It has two speeds and was a lot quieter than my electric blower, but a bit weaker in the CFM department. But that was ok with me. I wanted something light weight that didn't require me to add gas and oil or to lug around a 50 foot extension cord around my yard. So I waited for the week end to come and got out there to clean up the grass clippings and I was in heaven. The Worx blower was light and had enough power to blow my clipping off the driveway and then it stopped (dead battery). I know I should have charged it. So I put the battery in the charger and hung out while it charged and charged and charged. It took somewhere over 5 hours to charge that small battery. So then I got back out there and tied to finish the job in the dark, but 8 minutes in to it the battery died again. So back on the charger it went and the electric blower came back out. I waited until the next week end and the same thing, only 8 minutes of run time on the high setting. So I charged the battery again, this time over night with the same results. I called Worx customer service and spoke with a very nice lady who just keep telling me that the battery run time is different on different tools and would not tell me if this was normal for this blower or not. Good luck, but for me it's back to the electric.
