The Worx Nitro WG753 40V Power Share Cordless 21" Self-Propelled Lawn Mower with Rear Wheel Drive and 2X 5.0Ah Batteries has a highly-efficient brushless motor running 50% longer, churning out 25% more power, and providing 10% more life than brushed motors. With two high-capacity Power Share PRO batteries, this self-propelled mower is a worthy replacement to gas mowers. And does so without any of the drawbacks of gas, like the cost, mess, fumes, excessive volume, or extra maintenance. Full of quality-of-life features, like rear-wheel drive with a variable-speed control so the user can pick a pace that’s comfortable for them. Single-lever height adjustments and mode changes make switching between cutting heights (7-positions, 1.6 in.-4 in.) and cutting modes (bag/mulch/side-discharge) quick and easy. LED lights provide greater visibility when mowing at dusk or in other low-light conditions. Auto-Intellicut™ technology increases the speed of the blades when it detects thicker grass, then slows them back down when the mowing gets easier to conserve battery usage. And the one-touch fully-collapsible handle makes for compact, stand-up storage in the garage. The bag capacity is 2 Bushels, the wheels are 8 in. (front) and 10 in. (rear). The durable steel cutting deck is a wide 21 in. (20 in. cutting width) and great for lawns with rough terrain, and features Nutricut™ dual-stage mulching capabilities to return both water and nutrients back to your lawn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I waited a year for the self-propelled version to come out, slugging through one last summer of a trusty old gasoline mower with finicky starter. I am absolutely satisfied that it was worth it. I live on a rather rustic hillside, and the area to mow is almost one acre. I'm not keeping a golf course maintained, but keeping tidy a tough buffalo grass growing in a natural crushed granite. Coming from a mower that was hard to pull-start, I almost wept with how easy this one was. And the self propelled feature over the hillside was like working oxen, trying to keep my place steady. I got about 45min from each 3hr charge, but previously, I would take a week to do this same area because it was hard on me physically. I did the whole area in one day, and not a bit of soreness. I Live how easy it is to change heights, and fold up for storage. I was near giddy showing my neighbors my new ride.
This is an incredible mower. It's so quiet touch very efficiently was hard to get the sequence down on starting it but it mows effortlessly a little hard to get used to the rear wheel drive because I'm used to front wheel drive. I put a silicone coating on it and Teflon in the inside. Nothing sticks great mower thanks worx forever. Satisfied, Ronnie Miner.
I have cut grass twice now with my new mower & I love it! So easy to start, quite, easy to push, & cuts the grass just right!
As a single woman with a large backyard mowing the lawn used to be a real hassle—the pull string on old mowers never pulling correctly, the need to always have gas on hand and then smelling like gas, and the effort it took to push mow. This Worx lawnmower is absolutely incredible. It was easy to assemble and then super easy to use. It is self powered so even on inclines you don't have to put effort in, the mower does the work for you. I also love that it is battery powered to eliminate reeking of gas after mowing. I would highly recommend this mower!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a week ago and use it to cut my 1/4 acre property and the 5.0aH batteries lasted about an hour. Cuts like a gas powered unit but much lighter. Great features like the LED, one lever height adjustment for the cut and multiple cut settings. I had mine on mulch and the power did not diminish. The folding feature is also amazing. A great space saving feature. Love it.
I might have been one of the first to order this because I was determined to own this day one. I've only cut a small patch of grass but let me tell you a self propelled model from Worx has been a long time coming, and it works very well. I've used self propelled gas mowers before and this is the exact equivalent but without gas or oil. I must say, I'm 33yr of age, but I don't see anyone using it at max, so figured it was there for slops/steep inclines. Upon starting the mower it's at it highest rpm but quickly ramps down but I'm curious how sensitive this is since it's automatic. The LED lights are nice and bright and sit next to the button to check the remaining power (wish it was on the handle but not a big deal) It was worth the purchase for me especially after working 12hrs it's either get it out of the way and enjoy my time off or put it off and deal with while I'm on my off days but with this model it takes any effort out of cutting grass since you don't need to push.
My front yard is about a quarter acre with lots of obstacles. It takes me about an hour and a half to mow. Yes, I am slow. I usually let my Landroid take care of it, but due to road construction the boundary wire has been clipped. I'm happy with the performance of this mower and the self-propelled feature is a must for me. The only issues that I have had is that it takes three sets of batteries to finish the job. This is not a problem because I have multiple Worx tools, but if this was someone's first purchase it would be frustrating. Oh, and the front wheel fell off this morning. It was simple to reattach it, but I am really surprised that it happened. This is the mower's first season and it makes me a little concerned about its longevity.
I like Worx products and was excited to try this mower. After using it for 6 months, I can say it has a few good features and many bad features. I would not purchase it again. The Good: Nice sturdy deck and great storage design. Wheels are nice quality as well as making height adjustments. The bagger seems to be well made, but I have never used it. The Bad: Awkard handle design with 2 opposing bails makes the self propel feature a nuisance. Everthing has to be timed perfect to release the bail before turning to be able to "free wheel" the back wheels for tight turn (think going back in forth in a fenced yard), all the while holding in the blade engage bail. It is a very cumbersome design only suited for highly coordinated people. The auto sense feature is terrible it usually speeds up after you pass through a thick clump of grass. A simple manual boost button/blade throttle would have suficied. The battery life is not great, I have a small yard (4500 ftsq) if I self propel they are near spent, I push it 99% of the time (as mentioned) and have 2 bars left of 5. The organge break down handle releases are beyond terrible and catch on numerous things in tight quarters, such as fencing, gutters, walls etc. (did any Worx designers actually even test this?) Lastly the cut is only so-so at best, It does not have the suction of gas mower and it shows in the quality of the cut. I think if they had a higher RPM motor and a bigger battery bank it could have competed. I will use this mower until it needs to be replaced but it will not be with a Worx, and I have numerous tools from them and for the most part all of them great. One other thing is the blade, it is light weight and needs to be sharpened way more than a gas unit to have any hope of acheiving a half decent cut. Lastly where is the Manual??? Come on Worxs I expected better from you on this.
I was immediately surprised how cheap the materials were. But I assumed it was the price point. However I was frustrated by the lack of power and the fact it won't allow me to lower the blade and cut the grass as short as I like. But the real problem began about 6 months after i bought it, the plastic switch that allows you to fold and store the mower just broke. I didn't want to deal with returns or repairs so I dealt with it. Not long after, the self propell mechanism stopped working. It just makes a rubbing noise like gears are stripped. This year I pulled the mower out for the first time and the handle completely broke off. That caused lever to over extend and the plastic parts in the controls broke. Judging from the cheap materials used in this product I would absolutely avoid it.
Only good thing is it starts easy. Gas mower in my yard done with complete yard 45 min. Can't lower blade lower than highest cut or can't get yard mowed in two battery charges. Yard looks like grass chewed off. Run on very slow self propelled mode to save batteries. Correct batteries are always out of stock to have some charging while mowing or at least ready. At first thought operator errors because different. Box got wet and destroyed and did not get pachsged for return. I'm so sorry for this HUGE purchase.
