Worked perfectly to cut up huge branches fallen from my tree. I'm an elderly female and this made the work a whiz…
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this late Spring with pole attachment to trim tree limbs. This Summer my 38ft, 16in diameter Maple discovered a new source of nutrition & begin dipping into the sewer line. Not a good result in toilet flushing action. The previous owners didn't take that into consideration when planting the Maple next to the sewer line. I knew I needed a longer saw to tackle removing the Maple & deliberated on the cost of bigger saw, or hiring an arborist. Procrastination & spending time reflecting on options I looked at my 10in saw & decided to give it a go. I spent 3 full days dismantling the limbs leaving an 18ft, 16in diameter trunk. Sizing it up I thought I would give it a try. By making large notches around the perimeter I was able to eventually bring that sucker down. All done on 3 batteries. Honest! This success was not without its mishaps & problems. The chain made its reluctance at such a task by jumping off several times but no big deal. Gave time for a welcomed rest & restoring the chain back to its bar, a simple fix, thanks to no requirement for tools. I now have a large pile of "logs" seasoning for next winter's fireplace. I went on to bring down a couple 8in fir trees, a 9in flowering plumb & removed magnolia limbs up to a full 10in. Indeed, the little saw that could & still is doing, on the original chain. I did learn that trying to use it as a shrub trimmer is a big mistake. You will spend more time resetting the chain on the bar than any trimming you'll do. It doesn't like taking little bites, but then that's what hedge trimmers are for. Keep it well oiled & sawdust cleaned out & feed it fully charged 20V & it won't disappoint.
Dandy little chain saw, I don't have to worry about mixing gas or when I'm not using saw worry about Carburetor fouling up.
I got this chainsaw as part of the pole saw combo a while back for basic tree trimming. But twice now I've had occasion to use it as a “real” chainsaw and it hasn't let me down. I ran through a couple batteries to get there but you can see in the photos most recently I was able to safely chop up a 50' Leland Cyprus that had come down and was resting on a fence.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a 30 foot tree fall in our backyard due to a storm. This chainsaw cut the entire tree up easily. We have several WORX products and they are all fantastic.
This saw really changed my mind from my first review. I had a pear tree in my back yard that was getting out of hand and drawing in a lot of wasps around the fallen pears. It was 30 ft tall with a 14” base and 10 or so offshoots in all directions. This saw chewed through it. It took 6 batteries to get it done. We had 4 batteries between my dad and I and chargers running constantly. The batteries held up well for limbing and trimming but the larger logs really drained quickly. It wasn't quick by any means but it worked well. The saw was light enough for one hand operation on limbs but 2 on larger logs for added cutting pressure. There was enough brush and logs to fill a 6x12 tandem U-Haul. The only con would be the tensioner needed to be fiddled with as the slack after cutting. It had to totally loosened it off and readjusted. My first review stated the chain stretched. Not sure what happens there. It's a decent general use saw considering I got it and the blower with air miles. Very handy with enough grunt to tackle a little more than you think it could. Overall much better than I thought it would be.
I bought this during the winter season to be ready for spring. I saw what needed to be trim and didn't have the money for a tree service. I am a female, 55 and wanted something I could handle and maintain. I have never used a chainsaw before and was concerned on the safety features. Easy to use and very light. After 2 min with it I was a pro I love this saw and it is so quiet. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I bought this a month ago and happy I did. I just used it for the first time today to clear some trees away from my creek bed. I was really happy with how easy it was use. I am a 53yr old woman and have never used a chain saw before. My father was always the one to use the chain saws. He is 87 now and can no longer lift the heavy saws. He tried this one out and was happy with how light it was. I might have to buy another one as he likes this little guy so much I had to sneak it out of the house. Thank You Worx you guys always have just what I am looking for. Tammie King Gold Beach Or. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Ok I am a long time owner of Worx tools. I have the 56 volt mower, weed eater and blower. I also have the hydroshot. Both my children have wirx tools as well. I wanted a cordless chainsaw and worx had this one on sale. I used it this past weekend. I was blown away with how well it performed. I will show you the tree I cut. The only thing that is a disappointment is the battery. Worx you need to stepnup and put a longer lasting battery in your kits. I had two higher Amp hour batteries that made the difference on how this chainsaw worked. The chainsaw made it seems like this chainsaw was more powerful than a 20volt. I have a corded worx chainsaw as well. The info said it is for pruning and trimming. But you will be able to see the size logs. You will not be disappointed in the little chainsaw. Inused two batteries to cut this stack of wood.
Keeping my Stihl running order is a constant, this piece should help on small jobs
