Just recieved mulcher October 2017 ,bags leaves very good when dry and saves time.Would like to purchased one earlier,but was a hot item in demand. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I replaced my old leaf mulcher line with a new and longer line, and it works great.
This machine has done more than I expected. Easy to order replacement parts that last a ong time.
I have one third acre of trees that likes to grow a lot of leaves. I know what a great tool worxs produce. I own several of their tools. I love my leaf mulched. Last winter I put out 22, 55gallon trash bags full of leaves. I will let you know how many bags I put out after using my new mulcher. Happy days are here.
The best thing I did with this leaf Mulcher was to remove the little line cutting bracket (put the screws back with a small thick washer). No more leaf blockages, especially with damp leaves.
Fits the shredder perfect.
Last year I purchased the leaf mulcher. This year I needed a new batch of line for it. I ordered this line for it and I'm telling you this stuff works great. I have a giant maple tree and I think it produces 15 million leaves. This year I raked them all up and used the mulcher to grind them all up. I have a 10 ft. wide x 24 ft. long raised garden bed and I covered that thing with about 5 inches of ground up leaf mulch. These replacement lines work great!!! Get 'em, you won't be sorry.
I'm an organic gardener with a couple of big compost piles. A couple of years ago I bought an electric leaf mulcher, and it has made the job of shredding leaves much easier. We used to ride over them with the lawn tractor, which usually had to be done twice to really shred the leaves into easily-compostable bits. Now, however, with a long extension cord I can put the mulcher right near the leaves, run them through the mulcher and into my garden cart, and take them to the compost pile. When the compost is full, I bag the rest of the leaves and store them to use during the growing season to mix with other materials to get the right mixture. I especially like the fact that I'm not polluting the air with a gas-powered motor. This has been a great addition to my arsenal of garden/yard equipment!
I have used this leaf mulcher several years. The only potential problem is that the line wears rapidly if you mulch twigs and small branches.... frequent stops to replace the line. Tried steel cable and other makes of line, however the Works line is best..
This are ok but when you have a lot of leaves to mulch, the lines wear out quickly. In order to mulch 10 bags into 1 bag requires replacement of the lines twice.
