Detailed product description

Reach limbs 12 ft. high with the JawSaw Extension Pole Attachment; which is easy to attach and remove without the use of any extra tools. The chain is enclosed by the jaw guard, protecting it from the user and unintended objects. The JawSaw jaw design features solid steel teeth that hold on to the wood while you cut, providing extra stability. Unlike conventional chain saws, the JawSaw can be used to make cuts directly on the ground without the fear of kickback or damage to the chain. The Auto-Tension feature sets the proper tension for the user, preventing over-tightening. An automatic chain oiler with an oil level indicator provides constant lubrication to the bar and chain, while allowing the user to know when the oil level is low.

Introducing the world's safest chain saw, the WORX JawSaw with Extension Pole is the perfect tool for storm debris or tough pruning jobs. The JawSaw with Extension Pole takes the hassle out of using an ordinary chain saw, while making heavy-duty limb and brush clean up safe, quick and easy. The WORX JawSaw is powered by electricity, so it produces no noxious emissions. Unlike gas-powered chain saws, the JawSaw doesn't require you to mix oil and gas, or deal with difficult startups. This tool features an automatic oiler that provides constant lubrication to both the bar and chain. It also features a 12 ft. extension pole to cut hard to reach branches in larger trees. This allows for superior safety while cutting branches above your head. The extension pole requires no tools to attach and can be removed in seconds. Have the length of a pole saw, but get the professional results of a chainsaw. The JawSaw also features Auto-Tension, an easy-to-use chain replacement and tensioning system. There's one bolt on the JawSaw body that does it all, while most standard chain saws require two separate tools to replace and tension the chain or replace the bar. The patented chain tensioning system prevents over-tightening by automatically determining the proper tension when tightening. Perfect for any job

I bought my Jaw Saw on word of mouth. This saw is absolutely the best thing I've ever purchased. It makes quick work out of limbs and even those nasty woody weed/vines that grow in the fence line. It's easier to use than a chain saw and safer. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Easy to use!

I love this saw! It works great and it's safe enough for women to use! It does get a bit on the heavy side after cutting a couple branches overhead, but that is expected.

Best chain saw in my inventory for trimming.

A great tool for anyone with trees that need constant trimming. I'm 75 years old, and I would suggest that older folks be in pretty good shape if they are going to use this tool above their heads. Fortunately, for my age, I'm in pretty good shape. The extension is absolutely necessary. If you must go higher, hire a tree trimmer or be able to work from a ladder, or climb a tree. Neither which is recommended at my age.

Great Product easy to use

Even with the extension arm this is easy to use especially for someone with just little odds and ends to trim. I do wish the jaw could cut a 6 inch branch. I have used it several times and it makes cutting through the grounded branches easy since you can put it right to the ground to cut without getting into the dirt and rock. It does have to be cleaned becaise chips will build up with in the gaurs. But I am very happy with this purchase

I am scared to use a chainsaw but not this one

I have 5 trees in my yard which needed about a dozen large limbs. I really needed a chainsaw but was scared to use it at my age. One day I saw the TV ad for the jawsaw and decided to try it last summer. I have to say I am very happy about using it. Even the most inexperienced or diffident person (like me) should have no problem using it. Before the jawsaw, I was using a handsaw and would spend about a weekend on each limb (cutting and cleaning up). With the jawsaw, I was done in about 2 hours. Very easy to use and fun. Some negative points (minor in my opinion) - the chain comes lose more often than I expected. It took me a while to figure out how to reinstall the chain but once I did (with help from a more experienced friend) , it didn't bother me that much. The video on this topic wasn't that helpful. - I bought the jawsaw with the extension pole. I must say it's not as easy to use with the extension pole. With the pole, the jawsaw is top heavy and you have to hold it quite firmly to use it. Because of this, you can't make use of the full extent of the extension pole.

I bought this for my husband for a Christmas gift. We have hundred of trees on our property. The yard can keep him pretty busy! He loves this! Said it cuts through limbs like butter. Anything that makes this easier for him, makes me very happy!

Best saw for downed limbs

This saw lives up to the manufacturer's description and you certainly can cut limbs that are laying on the ground. I have mixed emotions however about the extension pole. Being an older guy, I find the weight of the saw at the end of the extension pole makes it quite heavy to use but because of the way the saw is designed, it's still safe to use. It won't replace a regular chainsaw but it's nice to have to cut up downed limbs and it makes quick work of the job. I ran mine from an inverter connected to my car battery and it worked very well. You can put it in the hands of a less experienced helper and they will be able to work safely and efficiently while you cut larger limbs with a chainsaw.

nice toy . . . . . Not a Tool!!!

The blade was too short for real effective tree limbing. The tool itself too heavy at full extension of pole to allow for maneuverability. Ended up getting an actual pole chain saw that allowed for more maneuverability. Great for people who like to cut up branches on the ground. Sorry . . . it just isn't as great as it looks. Namaste.

Save Your Time and Money

Impossible for an average person to use as a pole saw due to weight of saw with pole extended and at the same time trying to manage the awkward position in trying to press on-off switch on the handle while trying to push handle to control cut of the saw blade. If you are only wanting to cut a few low small limb's or to cut small limb's laying on the ground this is fine for that but other than that I would suggest saving your money and leave this "hobby" saw alone. It will only be something to store in the garage that will seldom ever be used to your advantage. Thanks to the excellent Walmart return policy I returned the saw almost immediately.

This product is too heavy

This product had to be returned because it was way too heavy for me to use and feel safe using it. I am a woman of medium build and am stronger than others I know of my gender and age, however I could not safely use this product.
