This new Cam Pan is the best yet. Outdoor rated is what I've been wanting and now I have it. Combining it with the outdoor power cable V2 (with the 90 degree adapter, makes it so easy to power and locate on the exterior of your house. The included mount is easy to install and use. I highly recommend this as a way to monitor the exterior of your home and as a supplement to a dedicated video security system if you are not going with the Wyze security system.
When a friend who is former militarily say BUY this product you listen, then you buy 1, set it up, and try it out. You like it, so you buy a 2nd, set it up, then you use them for a week or 2 ... then you buy 4 more, then you buy 4 more, and now you own 10 cameras hooked up at 3 locations, home, cabin & Mother-in-laws (she is elderly & has a nasty neighbor) !! •Easy to set up ... check that box •No monthly fee ... check that box •It's relatively inexpensive ... check that box •Internet connected so you can share video feed ... check that box •Free App ... check that box •Easy to use App ... check that box The only downside was a WYZE Server outage. No issues if your Cams were online, BIG Issue if your Cams dropped offline, or you were adding a New Cam to your video feeds. ... if ever there was a time for a push notification to let the WYZE User Community know the issues, it was the server outage !!! Easiest setup yet. Mounted the camera under the eave of a pool pump house so that I could get a better view of my property while my dogs are out. The tracking is a little slow on up close situations but that certainly is no issue as I I have fixed cameras covering from differing angles. The camera connected through WiFi easiest yet of all the cameras I own and has not given me any trouble. Some other wyze camera versions I cannot say that about, so improvement has been made apparently. That I cannot complain about. Liking the setup thus far, family has purchased same version themselves and all have had good experience. Would like to see a solar setup for this camera at some point. Totally understand that tracking would play a role in battery life but there are certain applications that I would find this useful.
I love the fact that you can turn privacy mode on this way I know for sure that some one is not watching if they are not supposed to be. I had a few issues getting privacy mode to turn back off, but all in all it is a great feature and an excellent pan cam.
This is a very neat camera, but it is hard to program the detection zone. I keep lowering the camera angle and updating the detection zone. It still records every vehicle thst passes by.
This is a very clear camera. It has its downfalls like I'm not a fan of it no longer being magnetic (so can't stick it anywhere) requires a different cable so the extra long cables I have don't work since the head is different, and requires the mounting hardware to hang It anywhere but the screw is difficult to put in to connect it to the mounting plate (specially if you're trying to do it close to a corner or ceiling where there's limited space above the camera). But.. with all of that said it is still a very clear and nice camera setup. Changed out a few v3 cams with the pan v3 and love the color night vision. On full moon night (and about half the time) the camera is hard to tell night from day they're that clear. The interface is a little different because you have to go into the SD card for playback but not too difficult.
It would be perfect if I could hang it up somewhere I have no power source on my front porch and the bracket isn't too good for hanging in window. Also, cord isn't long enough for window to power. So it's sitting on a little box in window so it's already fallen down. So I expect it to last less than a year before it breaks from falls. Should have paid a little more for battery but you live and learn.
great price and works (slowly) with wyze app. it's worth noting the Alexa integration button is still available but there no Google or ITTT button (idk if there ever was) this unit will not stream on my Google home or my pixel phone. the card is visible but the stream and audio do not show up. clicking the card and you get "connecting"but nothing shows up. this is evidently a known issue (support let slip "yeah, we had an update and many stopped working") Wyze says check with Google, Google says check with Wyze. I've done each and every recommended step (x2!). going to return. (fwiw, if you've read a positive review [there are many on line] touting great features, know that they require a subscription)
One of these camer brought from Wyze just stop from working. It would not come on again, it seem to be wipe clean of data, this is why it would not come on. I try and try to find out the problem but it just would not work, meaning light up/come back on, it just have no electrical life in the camera.
My new Wyze cam pan 3 . when I tap on the events button at the bottom of the screen it takes me to the events. But it will not let me play the events from there. It says I need an SD card. I have an SD card and It works, but just not on this events screen. very frustrating. P.S. works right with my other Wyze cam pan 3. with out the SD card warning coming up.
