I was looking for a compact, electric pencil sharpener. Since they can be very expensive, I ordered this one thinking it might be ok. I'm really surprised by the fine quality. It's compact, quiet and does a great job.
I've wanted an electric sharpener for so long that I finally bought this one and it works great. It puts a real nice sharp point on your pencil. Great price too!!!
Good buy for at home use. However not sturdy enough for everyday use at school.
VERY WEAK MOTOR! The $6 battery operate one has a stronger motor. For $12, its too expensive. Motor spins very slow. Spend about $5 more and get something stronger.
It was working great when I bought it. But after 5 months the cord became loose and I had to push the cord one way or the other to make it work. In a few months it stop working.
Terrible product... Broke on the first try!
I purchased this pencil sharpener and when I got home and plugged it up it would not work. The motor was running (humming) but the blade did not turn.
I watch kids after school and got this so that it would cut down on the time spent sharpening pencils for them. When you put the pencil in you have to have a lot of strength (4-9 yr olds had a LOT of trouble) to hold it steady or it just spins and doesn't sharpen and it was super loud. Returned it and now looking for another.
IF YOU HAVE $13 TO THROW AWAY SEND IT TO ME!!!! I was helping my two daughters(8 & 6) pack their new book bags for the start of the new school year. After 2 pencils each I told them to sharpen the rest at school from now on. We have used this sharpener twice (to sharpen 1 pencil each time) since the school year started. The third time the thing stopped working before the pencil was sharp and will not work anymore. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ELMER'S PENCIL SHARPENER AGAIN!!! I CAN ONLY ADVISE YOU BUT DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
Sharpent 5 pencils and then it stoped sharpening them fully cut them off before the tip, I tried to dessassembel and reassemble to see if I could find the problem but it fixed nothing. Waste of $15
