This is a replacement for the original set we purchased over a year ago. This kids play on this about 2 hours a day 7 days a week, plus all of their friends do as well. The fact that the other lasted so long was great. During our Christmas break, they were playing the new one and I figured out how to repair the broke wires in the old one. So now we have two! I didn't know you could connect both to the same Xbox as well. Learn something new every day.
I bought this online and had it shipped to the store. When i picked it up the sticker on the outside of the box said Guitar Hero Aerosmith for Wii. So i was a little worried. But it was just a recycled/reused box i suppose. Its a little spendy but it works just fine, and so far has stood up to the abuse of hard rockin on the pads. Not worth the money for a kid that has no idea of how to use them. I recommend for teenagers and up.
Works great! Bought it for Guitar Hero World Tour, but it also works on RockBand. Uses the same rechargeable battery pack as the guitars.
Goes together easy, but the drum pads stopped working around 3-4 weeks. Obtaining warranty service is a challenge. That process has consumed two weeks, so far. The set is a good way to train your dexterity in meeting the programmed material, no doubt about it, but it is still a toy. Used by 13 to 16 year old boys.
The drum stick holder broke off on the second day of use.
I bought this when it first came out and it was $176. The mic came broken. The drum's yellow cymbal was cracked and non-responsive. The game it self though was great. The guitar, the best, survived all the trouble. and the game got scratched by the xbox 360 and will not read. So I just paid $176 for a guitar. Im mad. >: (
