I am so glad that I bought this keyboard! With the help of technology I can't believe I am actually playing my favorite piano piece of Fur Elise. I never had formal piano training but a few lessons from a friend couple of years ago. This neat machine has wonderful and logical features to allow me to just listen to the tune, then I can select to follow and play only the right hand by following the lights, or the left hand or both once I get familiar enough. The smart technology actually wait for me when I'm too slow and not caught up with the rest of the tune! I also like this package which includes the headphone, a very handy bonus especially when you want to bang away without anyone else hears it in the house. I am an older working adult without the luxury of time and money to spend on learning how to play piano formally, this wonderful keyboard helps me to finally realize my dream of playing some of my favorite songs. By the way, it has 100 pre-programmed current songs and all time classical pieces! I love it! I play all the time now.
this keyboard is marvelous. i couldn't play the piano for nothing, but when i got this, i was playing with both hands in a week! its easy to operate, the stand fits well, the lighted keys are helpful when learning a song. i highly recommend this to anyone interested in learning how to play the piano.
I am very pleased with this product. It came with the stand, headphones, and AC adapter. It does include an educational DVD and a songbook of the programmed songs. This product works wonderfully for the beginner as well as a more advanced player. I have played for years and I was very impressed with the portable Grand piano sound and touch response option. I also purchased the Yamaha sustain pedal for a realistic piano-like experience. Overall, very happy with my purchase.
This is a must have if you know close to nothing about piano playing. It is wonderful to be able to listen and learn. The piano guides you (keys light up) on which notes you should play next. You can't go wrong. The song notes on the booklet are not labeled "E, F, G, A, B, C, D, F" so you are expected to be able to read notes. Other than that is is awesome!
After several hours of web surfing to find a keyboard for my daughter for Christmas I choose this one thanks to the previous reviews. The price was a little more then I was wanting to pay but in the end I am thrilled with the product! My daughter who is 13 set up the stands and everything by herself so setup is fairly easy. The head phones are fantastic. My daughter set up the keyboard in my computer room and while she was on teh keyboard with the headphones on, not only did I not hear the keyboard but also I didnt even hear the music coming through the head phones. I tried the headphones on myself and they fantastic. I like the option for the keys to light up in auto play so that you can associate the note with the keys being played. I would really recommend this purchase.
I talked to our High School Piano teacher to find out what the best piano would be for my grandsons 2 and 4 yrs old. She said this Yamaha was the best. The 2 year old is partial deaf and loves the lights and sounds of the keys and the 4 yr old can put in a song and follow along with the light up keys..It has different modes for lighted keys on or off, headsets,wall adapter or batteries.. My daughter says its the best thing ever for them and they love it more than Legos.hahaha. Walmart had the best package by far.... Its pricy but I bought the 2yr warranty for $20. so if it gets damaged Walmart will replace it. I plan to by it for all the grandchildren..
I had researched different keyboards for weeks before deciding to buy this one for my husband. He has always loved the keyboard but has never learned to play. He has had this for two days and has already learned several songs. He loves it. The listen and learn feature plays the song for you, showing you the correct keys to play. The second lesson teaches you the tempo. Our favorite feature is the waiting feature. Using this one you can play the song at your own pace using the lighted keys. We have yet to use a midi cable or use a sustain pedal but the keyboard is great even without them. We loved that this product came with the stand and headphones. I wish it came with a stool but I just bought one for $25 off walmart.com and love it. For anyone the enjoys playing the keyboard and would like to learn to play (both young and old), this would be a great product to use. I plan on buying this for a friend's upcoming birthday.
After reaching 70 and retirement I decided that I would attempt to learn a few songs on the piano/keyboard. After research and staying within budget for foolish whelms I decided on the EZ200. I have not been disappointed in most areas. The machine is excellent for the price. Moving through the included songs one note at a time is possible and assists an old man in learning. Pro- Good product with decent sound quality for the price. Cons- Display screen very small for old blind guy and the intro DVD should be updated.
I purchased the EZ-200 so my 8 year old son could start learning the piano, but the song selections were not simple enough. The accompanying music was not able to be turned off when he plays songs which is distracting. Also, the MIDI interface that Yamaha sells is not compatible for this keyboard. Even if it were, there is no downloadable music or songs you can load onto the keyboard. For teens or adults learning to play the piano, it is a good selection, but not for kids! It is not what I expected.
I bought the keyboard for my 10 year old daughter because she loves to write songs but she doesn't know how to read or write music. I was hoping that this product would allow her to sound out the music to her songs..sort of a record/playback feature. So far we haven't figured out how to do it, if it can be done. Still, she is having fun with it and she is learning from the books and hopefully she will take advantage of the teaching functions to help her learn how to play. It came with DC adaptor, headphones (which broke in 3 minutes) and and a stand.
