I did not have a chance to see or try the keyboard before buying it, so I only could go by its pictures an description online. I had it shipped to www.AmForward.com and it arrived ahead of the estimated delivery date. It looks and works great. I am very happy with the keyboard and the kids love it too.
Great board, but I wish they would have included a power cord .
It's definitely not a piano nor does the keys feel like piano. I had college dorm mate who wanted a keyboard for the dorm that felt like piano key. He found a perfect one at around 5,000 bucks. I have played piano before and would consider myself a novice. No it does not feel exactly like piano keys but to a novice like myself it really doesn't matter and I'd rather not pay $5000 for what I need to do. I bought it so my son can learn how to play piano. For that purpose this $130 keyboard will serve well. It comes with music sheets and I do like the learn to play feature with lighted keys. It's nice to just let the keyboard do its thing and auto play different songs. I noticed some of the musics have been altered to fit the 61 keyboards (where as piano has 88 keys). By altered I mean they chopped the sections where they require more keys. It comes with stand which require minimal assembly and AC adapter. Pedal is not included. When in learning more, you can have the keyboard lighted for left or right or both. Slow the tempo. And many more feature that I have not yet figured out.
I bought a Casio keyboard and quickly returned because its keys are not touch sensitive. Yamaha EZ220 was selected primarily for its lighted key and Y.E.S. Someone said it has very good sound but I disagree with that. What I disappointed are: -The drum part has too many things to master. - The voice part has lot of stuffs but its sound not like a real one. -The Styles part does not have BOLERO, SLOW which are my favorite. - Can not add midi or song. -The intro, fill-in is boring. EZ220 is OK for a beginner, other should look for better model.
I bought this expecting that it would have charger with it. *It came with no charger! If the item you sale doesn't include important stuff like charger, you should clearly spell it out and recommend to buy if it is second hand. Very disappointed as this was as a gift for someone. You deserve a rate of below zero (0), not even 1.
I just bought it for Christmas, I did not check ALL they keyboards right away because one must assume that they all work right? My son told me the day after that 2 keyboards did not have sound, lol. Such a pain having to return something "Santa" brought as a gift for Christmas. How does a parent explain this to her son? lol. Do not buy a keyboard online, period. Overall, if all the keyboards actually worked, it would be a great piece, a bit cheap looking but the price is cheap so it would have been ok for a student.
keyboard not working. keys not working in 6 months
