I bought this for my then three year old son. He loved it. We have used it for yard work pulling a wagon full of wood chips and he has ridden it into the woods. We got alot of good use out of it. We also kept it nice by using turtle wax on the plastic and metal parts and Armor all on the seat. I expect to get 2/3 of my cost back when I sell it. A fine four wheeler for the smaller kids and some of the bigger ones too.
I would have given five stars, but the front axle was assembled wrong from the factory and I had to switch the part that connects the wheel to the axle. This only took about 15 minutes to do, but over an hour to figure out!!! The part was on the wrong side, so when I took it off and switched them, it worked fine. I am sure this is an uncommon problem but I wanted to post it just in case it happens to someone else. The toy rides great and (after I figured out what was wrong with the front axle) only took about 30 minutes to assemble. My son is four and he loves it. It worked well on the pavement and the grass, but it looses a bit of traction on leaves. I am so glad I got it. It was his favorite toy this Christmas!
We bought this for our 6 yr old's b-day. It was a great choice. He loves it and as soon as his 21 mos old brother can reach the pedal he'll be riding it. We had his family b-day party this weekend and his 8 yr old and 15 yr old cousins were riding it and they loved it. We have a level yard so I'm not to sure about traction, we haven't had any problems though. The only thing I wish were different are the tires. They are the hard plastic and are wearing down already. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.
My son loves this 4 wheeler and i was impressed with it as well. It does seem to be good quality. It has metal handlebars and a real seat not just a peice of plastic to sit on. Well we've had it for three weeks and the throttle switch has already gone bad, no worries though just called the 800 number and a new ones on the way. Over all i would recommend this over the ones i saw in the stores, this is way nicer. Just hope i don't have to keep replacing throttle switches.
First of all the wheels did not fit right on the left front or the left rear. The ribs on the inside of wheel hub were mangled. The rear axle had one nut and washer already on, The other end was bent, mashed and had two starter threads. It was impossible to get nut started. Had to take it to a machine shop to weld it up and cut new threads. We got it together . Does not always pull on both wheels, probably because the left rear would not pull all the way on because it was mangled inside. Hey everybody, Our wheels are black!!!!!! The picture on the web shows chrome wheels, The box shows Chrome wheels. I think walmart owes me 4 new chrome wheels.
I purchased this item for my 3 year old son for christmas and 2 days after christmas it wouldnt do anything so i took it back and come to find out 3 other people and brought theirs back to.
Bought this item 4 christmas for son it shows chrome wheels plain black .
We bought this quad for our three year old son and four year old grandson for Christmas. Not quit what we were expecting for the money. Plastic frame very weak. Bumped into another quad, frame cracked right away, racks also plastic one side already broke(don't know how that happened) Turning radius is not good. Battery will not last more than an 45 minutes and it is not very fast even on high speed. He enjoys his tractor we bought last year more than this quad(think because it is way faster)Our son is ruff on his toys, this quad will probably not last him very long.
