just what we expected. Sounds great.
I had been pricing keyboards for a while, both on Walmart's site and at local music stores, and had pretty much decided on a Yamaha keyboard, for its quality and value. What closed the deal for me was Walmart's free-shipping day, which saved around $25. It was originally promised to arrive two days after Christmas, but actually arrived two days before. The setup instructions for the stand were a little unclear, but I figured it out and setup was no problem. It's a good keyboard - my only complaint is that in certain "styles" and preprogrammed songs, the notes played by the left hand don't change when pressing other keys, so the note sounds "off" even when the correct key is pressed (need more practice, I guess). Other than that, I have no problems with it whatsoever.
I bought for my 12 year old son for a gift. This is his first keyboard so I can not say that he is the biggest expert on what is considered a good keyboard, but he did check around with all his friends and he knew what features he wants included in the keyboard. Great sound, full sized keys and a great value for the money. The entire family is enjoying it. Deliver time was faster than what we expected (Site to Store).
This one seems to be a keeper. We had to take back a slightly more expensive Yamaha keyboard as only one speaker was working so we settled on this unit. It has decent sound and my 8 year old loves it. Just like others have mentioned it does come with a generic stand, but it works just fine. The headphones quit working on the first day, but this wasn't a surprise as others had already noted that in their review. End Result: Decent purchase, sounds good, and my 8 yr old is happy!
It shipped withing the time frame I was told - no problems there. The keyboard works great, though being a first time piano learner I can't really rate the quality of the playback. I haven't had any problems at all, though the headphones are kinda cheap. If you have someplace to stand the keyboard you might consider not getting this package. The stand, though it works great, and headphones might not be worth the extra cash.
it is great for my daughter learning to play piano with no lessons
nice product easy to learn
Yamaha makes a great product; normally. I chose this particular deal for the packaged offer - headphones and a stand. On this particular model however- there was a problem with the Jack on the equipment and the AC power supply didn't work. They offered to let me have it repaired under the warrenty but I really didn't want to wait a month. I did enjoy it for the time I had it running on batteries. The sound was pure and it was easy to set up and get to work. There is another Yamaha keyboard iny future..
