This DTX-PAD is an 8", 3-zone, "textured cellular silicone" acoustic-feel snare pad that joins with a 3 tom pads, 3-zone choke-able cymbal pads in the 13" ride cymbal pad and 10" crash cymbal pad, hi-hat pad and controller pedal and the kick drum tower. The pads mount to the new RS500 Compact Drum Rack System which comes PRE-ASSEMBLED for easy setup. The RS500 rack folds up just as easily for convenient transport. The "brain" of the kit is the Yamaha DTX500 Drum Module which contains 427 drum, percussion and effects sounds. There are 50 preset drumkits at the ready, covering virtually every genre and there are 20 User kits in which you can create and store your own kits. There are also 63 preset songs from all genres and 20 user song locations to create your own. There is also a high-quality Click function with the ability to customize the rhythm and tone functions to your liking. "Groove-Check" and "Rhythm-Gate" features help you to better enjoy practicing and to develop your timing. Other features of the DTX500 Drum Module include an AUX IN jack that allows you to connect an MP3 player or similar device for playing along with your own music, a recording function for capturing your performances, on-board high-quality digital reverb effects that add many different kinds of reverb and ambience to your playing, MIDI OUT for controlling external gear or linking to computer software and 12 trigger inputs that are compatible with a wide range of pads and triggers.
