Love it. Can play my CDs and tapes. Works great.
Easy to use, easy to clean, GREAT machine. I hate making smoothies because I hate cleaning the blender afterward - but cleaning the Yonanas is a breeze! My daughter is about to get her tonsils out and I can tell we are going to be making heavy use of this thing. It's every bit as delicious as soft serve ice cream, but so much more nutritious.
Love this machine, makes great healthy snack! I love ice cream, trying to eat healthy limited that till Yonanas, now I get the same satisfaction in a healthy mixture of fruit. I love it, no sugar just great fruit, have tried a bunch of mixtures but just plain old banana with peanut butter is my favorite, so smooth and creamy!
I am co-teaching a class to prevent diabetes. Most of the students are retired seniors who are searching for a better lifestyle. A couple recently brought in a Yonanas machine and treated us to a delightful frozen dessert with no fat grams and few calories. I came home and immediately ordered my own machine. Now I am loving all kinds of fruit that become a great sorbet.
Very easy to clean and use. Have been trying different fruits and so far I've had good results with all of them. But, it is very important to learn how long various fruits have to set out before using them. To compensate between this variation you may want to cut some fruits larger than others when you want to combine them (like strawberries and bananas). Only complaint is that you lose a little bit of the product just due to processing. So I always disassemble the machine immediately so I can capture what's still left in the machine. I think that's a good practice anyway to keep the fruit from hardening in the machine which would make it harder to clean later.
My brother bought this for me for Christmas. I had actually never heard of this until he gave it to me. He got it to help me get more potassium in my diet. This thing is amazing and SUPER easy to use. I am guessing the people that aren't happy either aren't using enough fruit or haven't read the directions. I had to thaw my fruit longer. It works perfectly and super easy cleanup. I plan on trying Greek yogurt (frozen in ice cube trays) and fruit. If it's not sweet enough sprinkle some Splenda or stevia on the frozen fruit and run it through. I want to try some other recipes. I just made 2.5 lbs of fruit sorbet. I highly recommend this machine. Hopefully I can get my extremely picky 3 year old to try it....
This is the first time owning this machine. After washing it, make sure you screw on the black inside piece to the inside of the machine before placing it in the grooves. You'll be able to turn the black part to the left to lock it in place before using it.
I like it although the machine was a little less powerful than I was expecting. The directions say to let it rest every so often. You also need to let the fruit thaw out a little bit or it seems too hard for the machine to grind up. The result was really good though, just like soft serve ice cream. Delicious!
This machine is great for making ice-cream-like frozen banana treats - ideal if you are avoiding milk and/or added sugar. You can add other frozen fruit, always with banana as the base. It takes a few tries to get the hang of it because the fruit needs to thaw just the right amount before adding to get the best results. There is always some left behind in the machine, so it's a race against time to dismantle it and retrieve the remaining product before it melts. Probably a good idea to make a big batch so that any wasted amount is relatively small. I think this is a great gift for anyone who is lactose intolerant and misses real ice cream!
It definitely does what it says. Easy to use and clean however quite a bit of the fruit stays on the blade.
