My 5ruck has a popup Ovrlnd camper shell on it and the BedRug provides a soft cushioned floor for walking and kneeling. I believe the cushioned backing helps with insulation and noise as well. The product is holding up nicely and looks good as well. The pattern it was made from and the heat molding is spot-on for fit to my pickup bed.
I recently purchased a BedRug for my truck, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I got this from Real Truck and installed it in my new truck and I was really surprised at hot it fit and was marked out for the lights and the handle that folds up to give you a little help getting in the bed, now that's it's installed it was well worth the price I'm so glad I made the purchase, Thanks Real Truck
This is the second one of these I have purchased. First one was for my 2015 Ram 1500 I purchased new and installed this bedrug almost immediately. It is still in great shape and the Velcro has lasted nearly 9 years. Not cheap but worth it in my opinion. You can climb in the back if needed without tearing your knees up. I just installed my new bedrub on my 2022 Ram 1500. Took about an hour by myself.
This is my second bed rug. My first one lasted through two trucks. I used that one in two different Silverados. The look great and last a long time. I expect similar results from this one. Lasted one was a little tricky to install because bed had 12 tiedown hooks , two bed lights plus a electric outlet. Took my time and came out perfect.
Installation can be a real pain if you plan on being very particular. I left the bed hooks in place and just cut slits. Came out great. I left the bed lights and cut the bedrug out slightly larger. They look much better than I thought. What i don't like are the wrinkles and the top part that cannot be tucked under the top rail. All in all, still the cheapest solution compared to a spray in and bed mat combo.
The bed rug looks wonderful in my F150 and fits perfectly. I was discouraged that there were no model specific installation instructions or a video. We took a great deal of time to plan out the installation and felt Bed Rug was stingy with appropriate velcro for attachments. Happily, customer service listened to my concerns, suggested installation information and actually sent more velcro. Thanks to everyone.
The product shipped well package, with everything accept the promoter for the Velcro. Real truck sent extra Velcro and promoter since I was short now due to the lack of promoter, wonderful service! The product is well made and highly recommend it, however the position where the zipper stops is right at the end of the bed next to the cubby hole covers. It is almost impossible to get that plate back on without the purchase of additional longer screws. My cover was also built with a little mis shape in the fabric so it doesn't fit perfect. I got it fine though.
This being the third bedrug that I have had I do really like this liner. But this one does not seem to fit the GMC bed with all the contours in the bed as well. Maybe with time the liner will mold to the bed. The hook and loop system should be addressed the adhesive on the back needs to be better. However would still buy another on the next truck.
It's frustrating when good USA companies cheapen their quality of their products. Bedrug was so proud of their quality products. They even embroidered their name into the Bedrug bed panel, now their name is a patch that attached to the Bedrug bed panel. Bedrug removed the two long sewn in Velcro strips in the front panel, now it's an issue to keep the front panel in place. When I had my old Bedrug, I would tell my friends that Bedrug is a quality product, now I tell them Bedrug is not the same quality.
