I don't have to babysit meat that takes hours to smoke to make sure the temperature is perfect as this thermometer is equipped with Bluetooth and will let me know if something is off. I've use this device several times and each time my ribs and chicken have come out to perfection.

Definitely smart!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I started a new diet. Which includes eating a bunch of meat that we usually don't cook. So the guess work with how long we need to cook the meat has officially been taken out with the yummly smart meat thermometer! Our meat isn't dry from being over cooked it is cooked to precision!

Love the app

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Yummly Smart Meat Thermometer is such a great idea. For someone like me that always has her phone around me it was super convenient. The only thing I found problemsome is when you have the thermometer inside the meat and go to grab it and check another piece of meat it popped out of the black hard plastic because it wouldn't stay clicked in place. It did give an accurate reading and did notify me when to move the food to let it rest for five minutes so that was also a plus for me. The app is pretty handy and gives some pretty neat recipes as well.

I love my meat thermometer. It's small and compact works great and I love that I can read it from my phone when i'm inside Prepping the rest of my food. I may purchase the second one as a gift.

Game changer!

I thought prior to using it that I would not see benefits over the older ones you just poke in and check periodically, I was so wrong. I am able to tend to the kids, talk, watch some tv, anything I want and wait for my phone to tell me the meat is done. It is spot on too. I can't believe how much more I am able to do when I am not having to run back and forth to check the temp 100 times! Plus the app offers so much, like recipes! I am heading to the grocery store to grab ingredients to try one out tonight! I highly recommend Yummly® Smart Meat Thermometer, you will LOVE it!

Good quality and good value.

This thermometer has great Bluetooth range and is very convenient to put in the oven or on the grill with no wires attached and leave it in the entire time the meat is cooking. The app has some nice features also with predicting the time remaining to reach the set temperature. The time does tend to change some during the cooking time so don't plan to eat at the exact time it initially gives you but still a nice feature.

Wish I had this years ago!

The Yummly Smart Thermometer makes cooking meat so much less stressful and extremely easy. I have a tendency to overcook meat and this smart thermometer really helps me get it cooked just right instead of overdone. It also has alerts and timers incase your forgetful like I tend to be. The thermometer is well made and high quality and I'm confident will last a long time. It's extremely easy to use and comes with a user guide and customer support incase you need it. This makes cooking so much easier I highly recommend this product!

Good product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Yummly smart meat thermometer is awesome! My husband and I love to grill. When you spend money on meat, you want it to be perfect to eat when you cook it. There has been many times where my husband or I walk away from the grill for a few seconds and then quickly realize the grill is smoking and the meat has caught on fire. We hate that! This bluetooth smart thermometer is great and let's you know when the meat is ready (and the temperature is perfect). I'm also a huge fan of the magnets on the back. It can hang on my refrigerator for easy use. The Yummly app is also helpful. I still need to explore that more because there are so many meal options and categories!

Crummy Yummly thermometer

I have a Motorola phone running Android 10; the Yummly app took multiple tries to download to the phone but finally opened and easily found the thermometer dock and paired successfully with the dock. After pairing I received a notice that the app needed to be updated but after 20 or so tries it would not update thus rendering the thermometer useless. Going back for a refund and trying another brand.

Not impressed. Ambient Temp Doesn't Work -

Just bought this at Best Buy. Right out of the box I found the design of the plastic case to be unimpressive. The lid is clumsy and falls off. It will crack easy it falls and hits too hard. On the back of the case is a tool they call the extractor. It's for removing the probe from the meat after cooking. However, it is difficult to remove the tool from the back of the case. You need to have tiny fingers like a 7-year-old. Or use something to pry it out. It was very easy to sync with my phone. After 24 hours of charging and using the probe for the first time, I have not been able to get the ambient temp to work. I've tried searching the help in the app and the web site and found the support files to lack any useful advice. I also hovered the base directly over the probe to see if the smoker was interfering with the blue tooth. For smoking meats, which is the main purpose I purchased this item it is imperative to have a reliable reading on the ambient temp. Additionally, the temp maxes out at a 200 F internal temp. For smoking pork shoulders the desired internal temp is 205 F.
