I've used a ZAGG rugged keyboard case for several years. Purchased this keyboard case for my new iPad. I find it to be a trade off. I love the trackpad and many features of the new unit. I don't think it will hold up as well, which of course is the trade off. I could use either one and be very happy. Overall very good product, which I have come to expect from ZAGG.
The Pro Keys keyboard has a solid feel and the trackpad is great for keeping finger prints off the screen. I really like the the way the iPad Air case magnetically snaps into the keyboard base. You can set it in your lap or pick it up and move it around without it coming apart, but still separate the keyboard base and use just the iPad when you want to…
Ever since finding ZAGG products, I have been very satisfied with both their products and the level of support I receive when an issue is encountered. Their products are very reliable and exceed my expectation for protecting my device. The couple of times I had an issue ZAGG support was very responsive and accommodating. Great example of how to run an organization.
Absolutely satisfied with it. Haven't tried Logitech nor Apple's magic keyboard but this thing works great for me. Long keyboard life with usb c charging. Very responsive key input and also love the way the keyboard types. It's a bit narrow for my style but I got used to it quick when paired with my iPad Pro 11” . Track pad is adequate, no issues there. Love the way it's the bumper pulls off the keyboard cover. Strong magnets. No issues connecting. Love the backlit keyboard. It cannnnn be brighter but it's good for what it is and the price. Apple Pencil holds perfectly on it. Love it.
Purchased this keyboard / case for my new I-pad Pro 11" tablet and couldn't be happier! Great quality and light / un-obtrusive protection. The "bumper glove" that covers the I-pads edge is so thin you don't even know its there yet it protects it from damage from a 6'-6" drop! Love this device enhancement and highly recommend!
I have had ZAGG products before so i expected great quality. This product lived up to that standard. The case and keyboard have performed well except for one minor glitch: one of the keys malfunctioned and needs to be replaced. Customer service was on it and will send a new key. Customer service is always important and, in my experience, ZAGG has knowledge and concerned folks representing them so 5 stars to CS. (The function of the key is still good). Materials, fit and finish are all of high quality and I believe my device is well protected. There can be a bit of lag time between the keyboard and iPad but only after standing idle for a while. Key action is very good to me and the various function keys are very useful. The pro pencil works about as well as an Apple Pencil and i use both ends frequently. The use of magnets for angle adjustment and even on the pencil are very good and almost satisfying to use. There is the weight and thickness tradeoff but unless one makes a cover/keyboard out of titanium there is no way around that. Well worth the trade off. Overall, I would give 4.9 stars.
Overall good product, however heavy. Purchased for my 11 year old for school. It adequately protects the Ipad without having a bulky case (w/o the keyboard) along with the purchased safety film for the screen. I feel good sending it to school with her everyday and keeping our investment protected. However, I often catch her leaving the keyboard behind because of the overall weight once combined. I do agree with her that it is heavy, especially for a kid to tote around everyday but it offers the desired protection we were looking for.
This case is very tough and sturdy, and will be great for travel. The keyboard works well, although I'm still trying to figure out turning it on and off. The trackpad is an excellent feature. My biggest complaint is that I cannot figure out HOW to set it so that I can stand up the screen while typing!! Why were no instructions for this included, because I've tried everything and still it won't sit up. That's why this review didn't score higher.
Have had this Zagg iPad Keyboard/Trackpad cover for less than 2 weeks. used it 3 or 4 times and it's already falling apart. Just found one plastic piece on the floor this morning. Tried to put it back in it's place (it appears to be a 'tab' piece that inserts in the iPad's edge to physically secure the iPad into the keyboard cover (the magnetics already work well to do that, so no idea the reason for this piece to exist if only to fall off the unit.) The other downside to this item is its' weight. It's nearly the same weight as the 11" iPad Pro 2020 that it's supposed to work with effectively doubling the weight of the unit when used together. If I weren't out of the country (moved to India shortly after receiving the unit) I'd be returning it today. However returning something via post from India to US is a daunting, if not impossible task and so I will bite the bullet and use this clunky thing when and as needed. Not really happy with things, but it's an awesome opportunity to create being ok with things exactly as they are and as they are not. So that's a plus for my spiritual practice. I would recommend against buying it unless you'll be using it in your home only and not traveling outside of you home.
Overall the keyboard and case is good. I like how my iPad is protected, and I can easily attach and detach the keyboard while maintaining the protection. I like the feel of typing on the keys. The trackpad is a little harder to click than on the Apple Magic Keyboard. I don't like having to keep my Keyboard charged, where the Apple Magic Keyboard uses the smart connector and doesn't need a battery because of this. I also prefer where the Apple Magic Keyboard holds the iPad, though that is very minor. If I could have the case part of this and have it work with the Apple Magic Keyboard I would be thrilled. Until then, I use this keyboard most of the time, unless I know I am going to be typing a lot, in which case I would likely prefer my computer anyway.
