When I was in school, this was the hottest trend! Everybody had one of these fountain pens. They came in colors like, blue, red, green, clear and yellow. The colors of the ink refills were exciting too. some of them brighten your paper or you could print a colorful graph! Colors like, red, green, blue, turquoise, would come with the pen or you could buy a separate pack of refills in ten different colors, including blue and black! The price is the same too! Wow! You never let anyone borrow your pen because they would ruin the point. All of us have certain pressure on the point as well as the way we write. The point would bend under heavy pressure and prolonged writing. These were meant for calligraphy too. The neater the homework, the higher the grade!! I get the feelings I used to know as a kid when I write with these pens. Kids now- a- days don't realize the fun of writing!!
Great writing pen like their others. Has some nice weight to it if you prefer heavier ones.
Writes well. Would like a bit more secure lid.
Nice fountain pen, sometimes a little rough writing but otherwise good.
I stumbled upon this pen while surfing the web, and discovered that it was in stock at my local Walgreens. I read through a bunch of reviews, only to be shocked at how bad it seemed. I pressed on, and picked up the pen at Walgreens for $4.19. I figured I would give it a try. When I got the pen home, I inserted the ink cartridges, put the nib on the paper and... nothing. It took a lot of scribbling to get the ink flowing, and when it finally did start to flow, it skipped. A LOT. I could write one word in cursive, but when I picked up the pen to go back and dot an I or cross a T, it wouldn't write. I decided to give it some time, so I left it for the rest of the afternoon and over night standing on end with the nib facing down. The next morning, the flow was better and I could write two-three words before it quit. I became determined to get the pen to work, so I took out the cartridge and made a vain attempt at refilling it. Seeing as that was not going to work, I noticed the old Pilot Con 20 squeeze converter I had from my Pilot Metropolitan (I'd used it previously in the Metropolitan, but later bought the Pilot Con 50 twist converter). I compared the size of the Con 20 to the proprietary V-301 cartridge, and found that it was just a tiny, tiny bit bigger. I decided to give it a try. I set the cartridge aside and carefully inserted the converter, twisting it a little to relieve the pressure so that I wouldn't snap the plastic on the pen. The converter fit securely, though it was tight. I grabbed a bottle of Higgins Fountain Pen India (non-waterproof- this ink is comparatively thin and I thought it might work better) and filled the pen. It filled nicely, and the nib was super easy to wipe off because it's so tiny. Now it works. Every time the nib touches paper, it WRITES.
I will not use this pen for anything other than casual use, for example, to make short notation. It is ok for very casual use. For this reason the price is right.
This product is absolutely useless. Neither one of the ink cartridges work and therefore the pen doesn't work.
Worst fountain pen ever! Save your money and just buy a Bic, at least they work. I bought 2 for me and my dad, neither worked. Ink barely flows, when writing ink skips. Don't waste your money
It's smooth when it works but it sporadically stops writing
I was going to use this pen for sketches and notes, but the ink is not flowing from the cartridge, and the nib's shape is scratching soft paper. I think this pen would be much better with the writing medium nib instead of the ball shaped. This is second time I decided to give that pen a try, but as a fountain pen it just doesn't work.
