The old paint on our deck was peeling, so we glued the loose edges with PEEL STOP and then painted the whole thing! SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This product was recommended to me by a friend. It resolved his water/warping problem completely. I have used the product for about 3 years and it provides superior binding of latex or acrylic paint to problem surfaces on old wood. Would reserve comment on how many years the product may perform because it may vary with exposure and surface condition. It is well worth the investment. The only reason I gave this 3 stars is because we really haven't had time to make sure it works. We received before the due date so delivery was great. We used this on our kitchen cabinets that are old and we repainted. The latex paint kept chipping from nails, scrapes, etc. We just completed putting this on the cabinets 3/3/2020 so we will know more in upcoming weeks. It looks white in the can and when applied to the wood, but dries clear. So far we like it.
