I used these for the first time today and am beyond happy! I used 2 XL and 1 L to store ALL of the linens for our RV for the winter. In those bags I have:1 Q bedspread (floor length), 2 Q Comforters, 2 Q Blankets, 2 Q Sheet Sets, 1 Dbl Duvet, 1 Dbl Sheet Set, 1 Dbl Afghan, 1 Mexican Blanket, 4 Tea Towels, 4 Wash Cloths and 5 Giant Towels from our boat. Those three packages now fit in 1 jumbo plastic tote and I was able to add other bits and pieces around them. I agree the plastic is brittle and probably will not withstand multiple uses but for over winter storage of these items, these bags are perfect.
Bought the 3x storage: 1 medium flat, 1 large flat, 1 xlarge. Thought it was the best idea I had all day, we were in Florida witnessing the terrible red tide rip through the area thinking how are we going to keep our stuff from smelling like the red tide. The light bulb turned on and I thought those vacuum bags would be great, and once I saw ziploc I was sold, unfortunately both the large and extra large failed to hold the seal, the good was it did contain the items and a little compaction.
I purchased multiple boxes of Ziploc Space Bags, at least one bag (sometimes more) in each pack inflated with air after vacuum sealing. I was in the process of rearranging and storing items, so things were being shuffled around. Assuming there was not manufacturing error, the bags must have been punctured while being moved around. They did not come in contact with anything noticeably sharp, as I was storing things in closets and under the bed. This has lead to my dissatisfaction with the durability of the product. The storage is great but if it can't withstand wear and tear of being moved around it will not last. Just disappointed in spending so much money for something I haven't been able to use/benefit from.
I got this one's and they were ok but they get the iron in again with the time.
I purchased these today 1 box of a combo (medium/large) 1 box (2 jumbo bags) 1 box (2 extra large bags) when I was putting them away I don't know what happened there was a tear on the bag (extra large size) then when I was organizing my other bags I noticed 1 bag was "popped back" meaning it was vacuumed sealed. Was able to contact customer service they are replacing the extra large bag...I just emailed them about the jumbo bag--hoping that they will replace it as well....sad to say I won't be purchasing these again
I am very disappointed with the ZIPLOC large dual-use space bags. After a weekend of organizing before the holidays, I attempted use Ziploc's "combo" set to store linens & summer clothing. I regularly use other brands of space bags for travel and storage, but decided to try Ziploc's larger bags with the vacuum seal. The box indicates a Jumbo bag fits up to "2 comforters and 2 pillows" & the Extra Large fits "1 comforter and 2 pillows." I used the larger Jumbo bag (even though Extra Large was sufficient) for an item of bedding which was below the "maximum fill" line. Within minutes of sealing, per instructions, the Ziploc Jumbo bag split down the back. Obviously the bag is completely useless with a large split. I question the realiabily of these Ziploc bags and feel that the vacuum seal feature was a waste of money. None of the other brands of travel space bags I've used has ever split or ripped. Ironically, the flimsy, cheap quality may have prevented the bedding from potentially being ruined, as the bag split before I could even put it in the basement. This was a brand new bag; it was not overfilled or near any items which couldn't have caused the large split.
Purchased what i thought was a great organizer product but i guess needs more work. The white tab which suppose to help with clising the bag, isn't strong enough and comes off the track most of the time. The one ones who do have it attached still on the lid gets stuck. And the worse part is that they DO NOT HOLD VACUUM. The main idea is not delivered.
