Just purchased a few weeks ago for lanai in Florida home to remove grilling smoke which it does with ease. I'm a licensed contractor so install was easy and straight forward. Only complaint which I will live with is telescoping chimney has a distortion and burn mark on one corner from welder applying too much heat during manufacturing and didn't see until installed and then removed protective film. I must say I'm impressing all the neighbors cause it looks awesome.
I'm a 66 year old contractor and can do anything. Installed island hood 48” on new screened in porch with slope ceiling. The slope ceiling made it a little slower but worked out great. Worked on it about 1&1/2 days with hard venting and roofing around roof vent. Floors and furniture, project completed
The hood is beautiful. We found the installation to be quite easy and everything worked perfectly. This the second hood we have installed. The quality of the construction and the superior customer service insure that we will not be shopping anywhere else in the future.
Been putting off this purchase but sorry I waited . This was a very easy install and is restaurant quality
This is a great system but installing it is a difficult project and I think probably not for the average DIY enthusiast. That said I am 72 years old, not a professional contractor and I did the whole design and install myself. But counting removing the old hood and the various construction elements required in the attic it took about 30 hours for the job. I had a good plan and all of the tools including chopsaw, table saw, nail guns, compressor, impact driver, and most importantly a chain hoist to raise the hood into the attic.
Best purchase yet! It's absolutely quite and the draw is fantastic!
This range hood was installed and was well beyond my expectations. Great product.
Just had the hood installed last Tuesday, but the grill is not hoojed up yet so really havent used hood to see how it works. It is sleek looking and doesnt dominate our small outdoor kitchen area, which is what we we wanted. The fan does seem quite loud though even on a '1' setting so a little disappointed about that. We had looked at another hood with style design and they touted a very quiet fan, but they were out of stock so we'll never know. Once grill installed and we use our sear zone, we'll see what kind of job it does.
Grilled two burgers last night. The hood captured most, but not all, of the smoke/grease.
The hood is beautiful and works wonderfully. We installed it ourselves and the instructions were clear. HOWEVER even with connecting the lower brackets directly to the ceiling mount (minimum distance to ceiling) the hood is too low above the range, 26" vs 30-36" recommended.
