[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am loving this Umami® Micom Rice Cooker & Warmer. I have always wanted one but was a little intimidated by using one, but this one is very easy to use. Set it and come back to perfectly cooked rice. Also keeps food warm without burning it. Love that it comes with rice spoon and a measuring cup.
The GABA Brown Rice Setting is a total game changer. It makes brown rice soft and much more palatable. The ability to steam with the insert is quite nice. The only thing is I wish the cord was still retractable, but the increased functionality makes up for that.
This rice cooker is AMAZING! Cooks rice so incredibly perfect! Does so much more too!

When I got my rice cooker it came with a measuring cup, a spatula and a spatula holder and steamer tray. I cleaned they cooker Very Well before starting the process of cooking . I measured two cups of rice and rinsed the rice three times and made sure the water was clear to start the process of cooking. I placed the rice into the bowl l and measured two cups of water. I set the timer and moved it to the Jasmine Setting and it played a little song and then it started cooking. It was silent and didn't make any noise which was a plus. I left it to cook for a little over 50 minutes. I carefully opened the top and Use the spatula to move the rice around so it wouldn't stick together.It cooked the rice perfectly. I Love it. It was easy to.program the actual time into it. On the cooker there is a Keep warmer button, A slow cook button, a Menu button, and a Timer button, as well as a Start button and a Cancel.button and a Time setting button. This Rice cooker cooks: Jasmine rice, Quick Jasmine rice, Porridge, Congee, Sushi, Brown rice, Gaba Brown, and Steamed Rice. I can't wait to make more rice for my next meal.im.excited to.

I know zojirushi makes the best rice cookers because I can make so many delicious things like jasmine and brown rice, congee steamed foods, and it also warms. Woohoo!!!! How amazing is that? This is my 3rd zoji rice cooker purchase. I bought 1 for myself about 10 years ago, loved it so much I bought another as a gift for mom, and now just purchased a new model for myself. The settings are easy to use and rice comes out great with no effort at all. Dirt easy to use. My old one is still working fine after 10 years, but the pot is a bit scratched up. I could easily have purchased a new pot (the thing you put rice in, dunno what the actual term is) but I just passed the old one on and got myself a new one. Mentioning this to make it clear I think the zoji rice cookers can def last >10 years, maybe 15 years? Anyways, I'm happy with my purchase. My new zoji and me will be hanging out together for the next 10 years at least.
I bought this in January 2023 and in under a year, the coating of the rice cooker bowl has already chipped off. I have never used anything other than the provided rice scooper on it so I don't understand how it happened. I'm a little disappointed since I decided to upgrade to this rice cooker with the idea that I'll use it for a long time but I already need to purchase a replacement bowl.
