This turtle dock is a great size for our 8 year old red-eared slider! He hasn't had a dock big enough for his whole body for a while as he grew so big so fast, but he climbed right up on this thing and stayed there basking all night! Very sturdy and looks great!
love it one suction cup is a pain and doesnt stay suctioned but other than that perfect
Easy process and was kept well informed during shipment.
I purchased this aquatic turtle basking dock from Zoo Med through Walmart for my two, palm-sized RES turtles (apprx. 3-4 inches wide). It works fantastically! Both turtles began using it immediately. There is ample room for a minimum of three palm-sized turtles to fit atop the dock. Both of mine can bask simultaneously without any trouble to the dock maintaining its float above water level. Four sunction cups hold the dock against one side of the turtles' glass tank, and I have had no issues (so far) with these maintaining their hold. I have bamboo growing around the dock, snails climbing over the bottom side, and feeder fish swimming through the plastic bars where the suction cups are attached. Still no issues! I purchased the small size basking dock for about $7, at least half the cost that this exact same product runs for in several pet stores. You cannot deny the savings! My turtles love it and love that I used the money I saved to buy them extra goodies!
We have two aquatic turtles in different aquariums. One is a painted turtle & the other is a red eared slider. Both are older, larger & heavy. These docks support both turtles very well while each basks. Our turtles are over 20 years old & this is the first time we had to replace one of the docks. Well made, long lasting & provides the basking support turtles need.
Better than expected! Platform was thick and big enough for my turtle. My turtle is able to climb on top and strong enough that it doesn't topple him over
I liked it for the most part. A little too big for a 10 gallon tank. Its so hard to get the suction cups to stick. I wasnt able to get one on but it still stays up with the other three working
pulled it out of box and its broke in half.
I was super excited to buy this for my turtle. i lost my home to a fire within the past month so starting a new tank environment for my turtle was a top priority for me and to receive it broken in half I was truly bummed! I didn't wanna go thru the hassle of paying to return it so I skipped the process and bought another new 1 from Amazon and thankfully this 1 was perfect as it should be. Overall it's an awesome piece for any turtle tank but be weary buying it from here! I feel bad saying it because I've been doing alot of purchasing thru the website but that was a total turnoff.
