This 6 inch phablet is fantastic! It is thin, very comfortable to hold, and grips very firmly. The screen is great, esp. with such a big screen. It is great for watching youtube, movies and battery is good too. My verizon signal here is good, always has full signal bar on LTE network. OS is generic and kind of clean. I ported all my calendar and contacts and have been using it for one week. Finally StraightTalk comes up with good phones!
I live in a weak signal 1x speed on Verizon network, Sprint also has 1x speed. No AT&T or T-Mobile. I bought this phone based on expectation of my previous Verizon phone 1x speed, BUT the phone was a surprise to me. $200 phone that has 2 GB of blazing-fast Ram. 6 inches big and most important 4G speed. Don't know if it's roaming or not but I don't care since I get the very fast signal. Samsung or Apple would charge you arm and leg if that was their product. You get better phone than Samsung and Iphone with quarter of the price. Very fast and huge phone. The camera is as good as my previous Samsung Galaxy S3 , which makes me happy. The only issue is that you wouldn't find a case for it anywhere, but if it breaks, you just get another one just like it :-) Also it says its on Verizon network on the pakage.
I purchased this phone after experiencing problems with my iPhone 6. I've had a very nice experience with it so far. A great phone for the price
This is the best phone I have ever had. Was sceptical at first but this proved to be the right desision. Easy to read screen and it large. I love it.
Info: Model Z936L / Android 5.1 / CDMA & LTE connection through Verizon Wireless. Speed: Quick response and a good multitasker. Also plays games quite well. Call Quality / Data: Decent with very minimal drop calls. 4G connections work well. Screen: Bright and especially clear for 720x120. Moderate outdoor performance. Sound: Not bad and not great. The included Dobly app helps. Cameras: Back camera is ok for a 8mp but not great. The LED flash is only useful for a flashlight as the camera needs natural lighting for decent photos. Front camera is adequate for video conferene level requirements. Build Quality / Style: Feels solid but the back is a plastic without much grip. It's also a minimalist style that may not appeal to everyone. Overall: It fills its role as $200 phablet better than expected. If you're looking phone from Straight Talk this would be my suggestion. Negatives: The version of Android on this phone has been customized and some stock features are missing. This is likely due to both ZTE and Straight Talk customizations. Which is only reason I did not give it 5 stars. *** CDMA/LTE INFO *** There seems to be a lot of confusion on SIM cards lately. As a former engineer here are the facts about the technology. CDMA is a technology that is used by Verizon and Sprint that does not use SIM cards but is also limited to 3G speeds. To obtain 4G speeds LTE technology is used which does require SIM cards for high speed data only. Your 4G phone will work fine without the SIM for calls, texts, and 3G data. On this phone the SIM seems to not be removable but perhaps that's just mine. The removal tool almost bent trying to remove it but removes the microSD card just fine.
I loved this phone for its pics and large 6" screen for texting and reading. Worked well for a few months and just died. Sent it back to Straighttalk per their instructions via e mail. After they received it, I periodically checked on status of replacement even if it was a refurbished one. But Straight Talk did not back up their promise of replacement. Contacted them several times regarding status of shipping a replacement. It has been two months now, purchased a small phone of theirs to get by temporarily and still have yet received any apologies or phone. I have constantly been in touch at least every couple of days via their chat site. They have told me they were shipping a replacement. Fed up with the quality of service they provide. If their phones die in a short period of time, what is the use of paying $200+ for them and they do not back up their advertisement. Not likely to use them again.
I bought this phone 3 days ago from Walmart...I was so excited!! When I first used the phone as far as apps I loved it...it was really fast and easy to use but the volume on this phone is low, so low that if someone is talking I can't hear...I've read the handbook and my volume is all the way up..so I'm returning it. The phone is big as a tablet so putting it in your pocket is out of the question...you'll have to buy your case online because Walmart doesn't sell them. I've had people tell me nothing but bad things about this phone since I got...they keep telling me about a sim problem they ran into with the phone later on...I'm just gonna return it ttomorrow
it was good the first few weeks now its stopped charging ive tried charging with new chargers and even bought another its not charging and when i turn it off it doesnt turn back on.. the battery life is good
First let me say that I loved this phone until about two weeks ago when there was a bad storm, my Sim Card went out, straight talk sent me another one, but now today for the first time in a year my battery completely died now my phone will not come back on, i've been charging it now for 2 hrs and nothing, not even the red light come's on that show's you have power, now that ive read the review by Stargaze I guess I can expect for the phone not to work again, if that's the case even tho i've been with straight talk for about 7 years i'm switching back to Verizon, with both of my lines since they have the same plan I have with Straight talk, never had problem's with Verizon they were just expensive.
I have had not one but three of these lever cell fones.everyone of them if the batter ever goes critically low .ypu best get it on not a car charger but an electrical outlet charger.everyone of mine have died and never comes back on I've already spent over 480.00 on two of these fones.and one time got the insurance ,which btw does not cover this prob.so I finally called straight talk and they sent me another one.im afraid to even use it .so I went with another company .do not ever let this cell die.sim card I've never had a prob with.be ware.
